Insurrection or Resurrection? True Freedom Comes Through Jesus

Today I write to you with a heavy heart, in the midst of seeing my country ripping apart at the seams. I see the Titanic before my very eyes, donning an American flag.

I cannot say I’m surprised. I’ve been writing about what I’m witnessing since 2013. Seven years later, I am seeing it all play out-  pandemics, riots, looting, violence, hatred and rampant division. Our nation is entrenched in what I call a national emergency and it’s high time we make a 911 call. This 911 call must go out to Jesus because he is the only one with the ability to rescue us.  As Psalm 91 says, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”  Without this shelter, we are playing with fire. Fire is not something you play with. It burns, and leaves a path of destruction.

Jesus is our 911

Our nation has been in 911 situations before. Most notably, on September 11, 2001. On 9-11, our country came under attack. Four planes and thousands of deaths later, this nation realized we needed God. Shortly after, a revival ensued.  Some say it began in a little church named St Paul’s Chapel, just across the street from Ground Zero.

St. Paul’s Chapel and 9-11

After our first President George Washington was inaugurated in New York City on April 30, 1789, he went to St. Paul’s Chapel to pray. This little chapel dates back to before the Revolutionary War. It’s the oldest building still in continuous use in Manhattan. This chapel even survived the Great Fire of 1777, which was started by the British. Much of New York City was destroyed that day. But not this little church.

St. Paul’s Chapel

This chapel has a history.  For decades it’s been a place for those living and working in New York City to stop by and pray. It became a haven for workers after 9-11. Weary firefighters, police officers and volunteers would take refuge there, praying and resting in this small shelter of the Most High. For nine months St. Paul’s provided ministry to rescue workers around the clock.

Technically, St. Paul’s shouldn’t have survived. It should’ve been destroyed when the Twin Towers fell to their demise. On 9-11 more than two billion pounds of steel came tumbling down with a force that equaled a small atomic bomb.  Every building in the vicinity of the World Trade Center was damaged. Miraculously, St. Paul’s was not damaged. Not a single window was broken! The walls and roof were all intact. How miraculous!

There was one thing that was damaged near the chapel however. It was a giant sycamore tree that stood in the graveyard of St. Paul’s. This tree took the brunt of the debris falling down near the chapel. Keep in mind, this chapel is located just across the street from the World Trade Center Complex. This sycamore tree was struck down, but the chapel survived.  Here is a picture of the stump of the sycamore after it was struck down.

The Tree of Hope

Two years later, on November 22, 2003, another tree was planted to replace the fallen sycamore.  An evergreen spruce tree was planted in the same spot where the sycamore had been struck down. It was given the name the Tree of Hope.  Despite careful, attentive care, however, this new tree did not thrive. Over time, it began to look like a droopy “Charlie Brown” tree.

The Tree of Hope Did Not Survive

The keepers of the tree did everything they could do to revive the slowly dying tree. They even changed the soil. Actually, this evergreen tree was from the same family as a cedar tree. Cedars are usually hardy and flourish easily. Not this one! It would not take root.  Years passed and the tree became more of an eyesore than a vision of hope.  Seeing the tree would not recover, this Tree of Hope was uprooted.

Interestingly enough, this Tree of Hope was uprooted in the spring of 2014. This is when a series of four blood moons began, starting with the first one that fell on Passover (April 15, 2014). This particular blood moon (total lunar eclipse) coincided with the anniversary of Titanic’s sinking, and with the death of Abraham Lincoln.

This Tree of Hope was supposed to be a symbol of hope and strength to Americans. It was a symbol of their unity as a nation. Unfortunately, the hope symbolized by this tree had the wrong source.  Even though there was a revival after 9-11, it was short lived. After the dust cleared, a spirit of defiance took over and the nation’s hope turned from God to man, and his towers.

April 30

George Washington prayed for our nation on April 30, 1789, but guess what?   223 years later, on April 30, 2012 a new tower rose from the ashes, not far from where Washington prayed. This is when the new World Trade Center Tower, known as One World Trade Center, once again became the tallest tower in New York City.

We went from prayer to defiance a short span of time. The tower was not yet complete, but it had reached a milestone and was on it’s way to becoming even taller. The final goal was 1,776 feet- this would symbolize the year our Declaration of Independence was signed.

New York skylineOne World Trade Center  was officially completed in November 2014, rising to its grand height of  1,776 feet . This occurred just a few months after the Tree of Hope was uprooted, and after two blood moons had passed on the Lord’s Feasts (one on April 15, 2014 on Passover, and another on October 8, 2014 at the Feast of Tabernacles).

The defiance this tower represents was foreshadowed in something that happened back on June 14, 2012, a few months after One World Trade Center reached its goal of becoming the tallest tower once again. President Barak Obama and his wife came to visit the One World Trade Center building site. They signed one of the final beams that would be added to the 104 story building.  The beam was signed with a red marker and conveyed this message:

“WE REMEMBER. WE REBUILD. WE COME BACK STRONGER!”

Maybe that message sounds good to some, but I can assure you, it is not. It’s a message of defiance. We cannot come back stronger when our foundation is weak. God must be our foundation, or we are sinking sand.  Jesus must be our Declaration of Dependence, or our  Declaration of Independence will not stand.

https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/06/obama-signs-beam-at-one-world-trade-center

Why do I say America’s foundation is weak?

Since 9-11, our laws continue to fly in the face of God’s laws. We have aborted over  50 million babies.  As of 2015, gay marriage is legal in all 50 states.  Our laws push God out of public schools, universities and workplaces.   If that wasn’t enough, sexual promiscuity is commonplace and considered normal. Pornography is found everywhere, even in Christian homes. Sex trafficking is hidden, but growing steadily among both the elite and common American. Television is filled with so much debauchery- it’s impossible to find anything decent these days. Alternative lifestyles are celebrated and taught in the public schools. Greed, discrimination and lawlessness abound in the land of the free.

Our nation builds tall towers, but we have weak morality.

Thankfully, there are Christians out there who keep interceding for our nation. Hope is not lost, but only if our hope is in Christ.

The One World Agenda

I also know there is a defiant spirit of evil trying to convince people to pull away from God and his laws. Some call it the New World Order, while others call it the One World Government.  It’s the same spirit that’s been here since the Tower of Babel.  This is what we must fight against.  This New World Order does not want Jesus to be King. They try to set their plans in motion by telling the world they will fix it- they will bring order to chaos. They will bring justice. They will bring peace.

My friends, read the Bible- don’t be fooled.  There will be no peace, order or justice until the King of Kings, Jesus, returns and sets up HIS KINGDOM. The race is on for the One World Government (controlled by Satan) to fulfill their plans. They are setting the stage.  Their main goal is to create great division and chaos. They want to engage and enrage people.

There are two things standing in the way of the One World Government: America and Christianity.  America has always been a beacon for Christianity. We aren’t a perfect nation, but we are a nation where thousands of churches have been planted that preach the Good News- Jesus Christ is Lord.  The One World Government wants you to put faith in them, not in Christ. This is why they use political and environmental agendas. They want to create discord and chaos so the world will look to them for salvation.   There is only one name and person that will save- Jesus Christ- whose name means salvation!

Don’t fall for everything the media tells you! This is why the citizens of our nation need to seek Jesus and seek him fast! If we follow Jesus, we will know how to love our neighbors of all colors and walks of life.  We will not walk in division, but in truth and love for people of all backgrounds.

Even if our country divides and falls, we have the Lord Jesus. We can stand tall in whatever comes. We know what the Bible says. Christ wins!

Romans 13:11,12 says:

And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”

The word being used for wake is egeiro, which means: to arouse from sleep, to arouse from the sleep of death, to recall the dead to life (Strong’s 1453).

The word for salvation being used is the Greek word soteria, which means deliverance, preservation, and safety. It also refers to the salvation that is the present possession of all true Christians.  My favorite meaning of the word salvation (solteria) is future salvation that refers to the return of Jesus from heaven when we become one with our Groom in the eternal kingdom.

When you look at these meanings and apply them to the verses, it reminds us of an important truth:  We must wake up and understand that the return of Jesus is closer than we realize. It’s time to wake up and spread the good news that Jesus is Lord and he’s coming back.

Just look at what it says right after reminding us to wake up.

“Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof, ” Romans 13:13,14 KJV.

Translation: We are to walk in truth and not engage in violent acts.  The word wantonness in this verse is from the Greek word aselgeia, which means disrespectful behavior -so this means we are to be respectful when dealing with others. The word strife in this verse is described as contention in the Greek, -so this word means heated quarrels and arguments.  We should not lose our heads in anger. We should not pursue fights.

Instead of getting inflamed and engaged with heated, violent arguments and movements, we are to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ.”

What does this mean? Listen carefully and picture this in your mind. The Greek word endyo (Strong’s 1746) is being used for “put on” in the verse.  This word means to clothe yourself with. It carries the visual of sinking into a garment. So what this verse means is to clothe yourself with Jesus. Let his presence be part of your daily wardrobe.  I know most of us love to wear a snazzy outfit when among friends or even strangers. But, imagine if we wore the presence of Jesus on our body for all to see! Now that, my friends, would change the world. All the movements in the world couldn’t touch the presence of Jesus.

Jesus is our 9-11

There have been plenty of incidents after 9-11 that warrant a 9-1-1 call to God. Here’s the short list: by the way, there were so many shootings, natural disasters and incidents of civil unrest that I didn’t attempt to list them all. I just included some of the major ones. I did not even come close to listing it all…….. there wouldn’t be enough space…..

SINCE 9-11 up to 2020

The U.S. invades Iraq – War on Terror (2001), 2005 Hurricane Season is the most active on record, Hurricane Katrina devastates the Gulf Coast-costliest hurricane in U.S. history-  (2005), Virginia Tech shooting (2007), 2008 Economic Collapse and subsequent recession,  Occupy Wall-Street Protests (2011), Syrian Refugee Crisis (ongoing since 2011), Hurricane Sandy- 5th costliest hurricane (2012), Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting (2012), Boston Marathon Bombing (2013), Los Angeles Airport Shooting (2013), Ft Hood Texas shooting (2014),  Ferguson Riots (2014), Oakland Riots (2014), Chattanooga shootings (2015), Minneapolis (Black Lives Matter) Protest Shootings, Charleston Church Shooting (2015),  Baltimore Protests (2015), San Bernadino attack (2015), The Iran Nuclear Deal (2015),  Pulse Nightclub Shooting (2016), Milwaukee Riots (2016), Charlotte Riots (2016),  North Park Elementary School Shooting (2017), Las Vegas Music Festival Shooting (2017), Sutherland Springs Church Shooting (2017), St. Louis Protests (2017), Hurricane Harvey- 2nd costliest hurricane in U.S. history (2017), Hurricane Irma- fourth costliest hurricane- (2017),  Hurricane Maria devastates Puerto Rico- third costliest hurricane (Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the U.S. -(2017), Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School Shooting (2018), Wildfires in California (2017-2019), Massacre at Synagogue in Pittsburg (2018), You Tube Headquarters Shooting (2018), Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano erupts -most destructive in recorded history (2018), Brett Kavanaugh hearings (2018), Santa Fe High School Shooting (2018), Impeachment Trial for President Trump (2019), University of North Carolina shooting (2019), El Paso Shooting (2019), Coronavirus pandemic (2020), George Floyd Murder and Riots (2020)…………..

If you want to see the amount of mass shootings in the U.S., you can get the full list here:

As you can see, that’s a lot of violence and unrest in our nation.

A Warning……

Back in 2018, after the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School,  I was very upset and disheartened.  As I read about the shooting a name popped into my  mind over and over.  I wasn’t very familiar with the name at the time, but I had heard it  before through a friend.  The name was David Wilkerson.  When I looked him up, I found out he was a preacher at a church in Times Square, but he had passed away back in 2011. He wrote about a vision he had of New York City.  In the vision, New York City was burning.  There were fires everywhere.  He said he saw fires in many major cities in the United States as well.

As I was reading about his vision a word kept coming to mind- INSURRECTION.  What is an insurrection?  It is defined as a violent uprising against an authority or government.  If we look at Civil War history, we will find that it was an INSURRECTION that sparked the war.  It happened at Harper’s Ferry in West Virginia on October 16-18, 1859.  Abolitionist John Brown led an armed slave revolt.  He was hoping to encourage slaves to revolt against their masters and fight for their freedom.  Although his insurrection failed, the event itself inspired slaves and abolitionists to pursue their cause for freedom.  It has since been remembered as the spark that ignited the fire of the Civil War.

Interestingly enough, the Marjory Stoneman Douglass school shooting took place on 2-14- (February 14) Valentine’s Day. What a different world we would have if we took hold of the truth found in Ephesians 2:14. I call it the Valentine of Jesus!  It says:

For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,” Ephesians 2:14

That is a true definition of love, and the only one that will bring security and peace.

In the verse it says, “he is our peace.” The word being used for peace is the Greek word eirene. The meaning of this word is: a state of national tranquility; exemption from the rage and havoc of war; peace between individuals; harmony; security, safety, prosperity, felicity.

The Pharisees accused Jesus of leading an insurrection.  They said he was inciting the people to revolt and destroy the government.  But, that’s not what Jesus was doing.  He was coming to overthrow their hearts!  He did not use violence.  He didn’t use force.  He used the truth and love.

Did it cause some division among people?  Yes it did. Some welcomed his message, while others spurned it. He could move a crowd with the truth he spoke in love.  Those who did not believe he was the Messiah became angry- so angry he was eventually crucified.

Jesus did not care about skin color or ethnicity.  He came to save all.  He broke down the dividing wall.  Like the days of the Civil War, not everyone liked his ideas.  He was literally bringing “freedom from slavery”.  This new freedom was radical to many.

If only all Americans could take hold of this peace Jesus brings. He does not care about skin color or economic status. He loves us because we are made in his image.  He longs to bring us under the protection of his wings. He longs for us to dwell in his shelter, as Psalm 91 beautifully describes. But our nation must repent and move towards Jesus. They must turn away from unrighteousness, and turn to him.

Division in America

In just the last few weeks, I’ve seen the beginnings of what could be the sparks of insurrection. Widespread rioting and looting has occurred after the death of George Floyd. It has created havoc in many cities, including New York.

George Floyd was on the ground, being pinned down by police officer Derek Chauvin for 8 minutes 46 seconds. For some reason, when I learned it was  8 minutes 46 seconds that he was pinned down,  an image of  planes hitting the Twin Towers came to mind.  Immediately I went to the computer to find out what time the planes hit each tower on September 11.  I was shocked when I read that the first plane hit the North Tower at 8:46 a.m.  The numbers were the same- 8 and 46.

What happened to George Floyd is horrific. I know many intercessors are praying and appealing to Jesus for guidance and healing right now.  But, when I turn on the news I’m not seeing healing. I’m seeing a lot of rage and hostility.  I’m seeing the media creating purposeful hate and tension.  If you know Jesus, then you know violence is not the answer. Rage and discord is not the answer.  JESUS IS THE ANSWER!

PSALM 91

Psalm 91 says, “I will not fear the terror of the night, or the arrow that flies by day.”

The terror of the night can be all those horrible things we might imagine in our worst nightmares. Or, it may be riots, fires, shootings, or insurrection.  The word being used for terror is the Hebrew word pachad which means those things that you fear or dread.  I could write you a long list of things that I fear and dread.

What do nations dread? Well, I can’t speak for the entire country, but I can guess at a few things such as: a breach in our borders, a terrorist attack, a biological weapon, a pandemic, an economic collapse, natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, and tornadoes, a missile attack, or war.

I see the great division in our land.  Is insurrection in our future?  I hope not!  That is why I pray for our leaders, citizens and nation daily.

Last callBut, a spark can lead to a giant fire.  Once a fire gets going, it can be hard to stop.  Back in 2018 I began reading David Wilkerson’s book, America’s Last Call.  I had just finished a chapter where he describes how fast the London Fire destroyed the entire city.  In the chapter he warned that a fire was on its way to America if we didn’t repent and turn back to God. He specifically mentioned abortion and sexual sins.  He said once the fire got going, it would destroy quickly and furiously.

Right after reading this chapter, my husband, who happens to be a firefighter, called me into our room to watch a You Tube video.  He showed me a video of a fire that began in a California apartment complex.  It started with a small spark from an outdoor grill.  Within 20 minutes the entire apartment complex went up in flames.  I watched as it quickly jumped from one apartment to another.  The firefighters came, but by the time they got there, the fire had already ravaged the entire complex. I didn’t tell my husband about the chapter I had just read and the warning contained in it. I just sat there a little dumbfounded by the timing of it all.  I felt the message was clear.

London fire
This is the first page of the chapter I was reading about the London Fire

David Wilkerson also posted an urgent message on his personal blog on March 7, 2009.  This is what it said.

“For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires- such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago. There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting- including Times Square, New York City.”

This message reminded me of a dream I had about New York City many years ago.

In this dream,  I was walking along the streets of New York City and I saw a scene that greatly disturbed me.  All the buildings were in ruins.  I could tell they had been burned because they were smoldering.  Their once towering brilliance had faded and turned to rubble.  As I walked along the streets I saw a strange, unnerving sight.  It was a ship.  It was sitting on its stern and pointed straight in the air.  It looked like the Titanic!  The odd thing is that the ship stood up like a building.  It was actually nestled in among the buildings.  In the dream, I stared at the ship, among the dilapidated skyscrapers.  It was the color of the statue of Liberty, with a greenish sheen.  I could hear the ship creaking.  When I woke up, I sensed the dream foreshadowed something about America and its economy and future.

New York and COVID-19

Since this dream, New York has seen its share of what I’d call rumblings and ashes. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, New York has seen more deaths than any other state. As of June 2, 2020,  New York has 371,711 confirmed cases of COVID-19. New Jersey has the second highest with 160,918.  Something to note is that New York and New Jersey had the same governor until 1738 so they were considered linked together. The number of cases in other states pale in comparison to New York and New Jersey’s numbers.

In addition, New York City and New York State has experienced looting and rioting at alarming levels since the death of George Floyd.  Even Macy’s Department store at Herald Square, (which was one of the first department stores in America), was looted. Other stores such as Coach and Nike were looted as well. Stores and boutiques in Midtown Manhattan were pillaged.  Fires were lit and shattered glass littered the streets.

I have often thought of that dream of New York in ashes, with its ruined buildings.  The COVID-19 pandemic has brought not only death, but financial instability.  Wall Street, of course, holds the key to our financial stability, so in this way New York is at the center of it all.  Did you know New York City was our nation’s first capital? If not, now you know.

I do not know what else is coming, but I do know one thing. This nation needs intercessors to pray for a Third Great Awakening! There are many people in this nation who do not honor God and are determined to push our nation further away from biblical principles. They also do not realize the media is trying to control them by feeding them lies, and by pushing a liberal, Anti-God agenda.  They are also trying to create anger and division.  A Great Awakening can soften hearts to recognize and revere Jesus. He can bring clarity and truth. Jesus is the one who changes hearts and helps us love all people from every race and background. He is the one who can change nations.

photo: One World Trade Center: Anthony Quintano Wikipedia Commons: note the mast on top of the building

I visited New York City in October 2019 and as I stared up at One World Trade Center, I thought the top of the building reminded me of a ship. The top is actually called the mast.   I thought about Titanic.  It was big, bold and beautiful, but it sank in under three hours. Just the name of New York’s tallest tower  gives me chills……..ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER.  Reminds me of the One World Government…….  I was actually able to go inside One World Trade Center in 2019, a few months before the pandemic hit. I went to the observation tower, hoping to get a good view of New York City.  When I got to the top this is what I saw………

one world cloudy 2

As you can see there is no view at all. It was completely clouded over. I was disappointed but I felt like the Holy Spirit was saying, “People cannot see what’s coming. It’s a sleeping city.”  That made me sad because I knew in my spirit that many people in this city were lost. They have no idea Jesus is on his way.  I could see the windows blocked with clouds, but in my mind’s eye, I could imagine Jesus coming back on them.  My prayer is for our nation to wake up and be ready for his return.

New York is the Empire State

New York is called the Empire State because it was considered by our founders as “the seat of the American Empire.” It’s our financial center- the apple of America’s eye. But empires fall when they stop remembering who placed the empire in their hands in the first place.

Isaiah 40:23, 24 says:

He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.”

This means God has sovereignty over rulers, nations and empires.

All this civil unrest  and division in our country is part of our warning, and it should be a like a loud alarm blasting, “Wake up you sleeping giant! Get your heart right with God before it’s too late!”

The division in our nation has its roots in the rejection of God. When a nation rejects God and the shelter he brings, they lose sight of what’s actually in front of their very eyes. They start to believe the lies of men, rather than the truth of God.  Violent riots and insurrection are often the result of people being so clouded by the flesh, they can’t hear the spirit of the Living God- Jesus Christ-who wants to save them and open their eyes.

During the Civil War the South could not see how slavery was evil. They went to war trying to hold on to something that was sinful and destructive. The end result- war ravaged the South and brought it to utter ruin. The Southern economy imploded.  It took years for the South to rebuild and many, many years for their prejudiced views to change.  Even to this day, however, many of these prejudiced views still exist.

Truthfully, it’s almost impossible to change deep rooted destructive views without the love of Christ. This is why our nation must know that without Jesus, we cannot truly change.  This is why Jesus will come back to rule all the nations. He will bring true justice to this world that can only come from the Prince of Peace.

The Lincoln Memorial Vandalized

During the George Floyd protests, one of the things that happened is the Lincoln Memorial was vandalized, as well as the World War II Memorial. The phrase, “Y’all not tired yet?” was written on a wall next to the steps that lead into the memorial.

The Lincoln Memorial was dedicated on May 30, 1922 and it was vandalized on May 30, 2020. Ninety- eight years had passed, but what did it mean?  This memorial is where Martin Luther King gave his famous “I Have a Dream speech” in 1963.

Vandalizing a memorial where Lincoln is honored as a freedom fighter will not fix the problem. Defacing the place where Martin Luther King advocated for peace and justice will not create change in anyone’s heart. Only Jesus can bring peace and change hearts.  In response to the message written on the memorial  (“Y’ll not tired yet”), I have this to say, “Yes, we are tired. We are tired of this nation turning to everything but Jesus!”

With Jesus as our cornerstone, we would love one another in peace and in truth -because real change comes from him.

Blood Moons of 2014 and 2015

Back in 2014 and 2015 there were a series of four blood moons (total lunar eclipses) that occurred on specific Feasts of the Lord. The Hebrew word for feasts is moed, which means appointment.  So, all of the Lord’s Feasts are appointments with him.

In 2014, the first blood moon happened on April 15. This just happens to be the date Abraham Lincoln died after being shot in 1865. It is also the date the Titanic sank in 1912. This blood moon happened on the Lord’s Feast known as Passover.

There was another blood moon on Passover the following year in 2015. This one fell on April 4, which just happens to be the date Martin Luther King was shot in 1968. It is also the date that the original World Trade Center Towers were dedicated in 1973.  Since then, we have replaced those towers with a new, taller one.

The dates of these blood moons line up with events that bring division and towers to mind. Abraham Lincoln advocated for the freedom of slaves. The South radically opposed this, leading to great division in the nation. A war ensued and the United States narrowly missed permanent division.

Martin Luther King advocated for equality of the races and brought light to the horrible injustices that were prevalent in America. His message brought division, but it also brought about change that was necessary in a nation still holding freedom back from African Americans.

In both instances, the idea of freedom is inherent- freedom from slavery- freedom from injustice. But that freedom came out of great division. In the case of God, he can allow division for many reasons. But, if the nation does not turn to him in repentance and reverence, the division will bring no healing- only devastation.

The blood moon date of April 4, which is tied to the death of Martin Luther King and the dedication of the original World Trade Center Towers, reminds me of a clear message. We cannot build towers to replace God. When we do this, the towers fall and division and anarchy take over. There was a page from the Bible found at Ground Zero- it was Genesis 11- the Tower of Babel.  The One World Trade Center Tower stands at 1776 feet, but our Savior stands much higher! He is at the right hand of the Father in heaven.  He is who we look to and worship!

Jesus is our freedom fighter! He wants us to be free from the sin that tears our nation apart.

Jesus is our Emancipator

On September 22, 1862, Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. He is quoted as saying, “I can only trust in God that I have made no mistake….It is now for the country and the world to pass judgment on it.” Lincoln took brave steps to secure freedom for African Americans.  Nonetheless, he would find his country in the midst of a brutal war- one he knew could destroy his nation.

Even before the outbreak of the war, Lincoln gave a prophetic speech on June 16, 1858. He said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half slave and half free. I do not expect the Union to be dissolved- I do not expect the house to fall- but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing or the other.”

Lincoln’s inspiration came from a verse in the Bible- Mark 3:25, which says, “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”

The truth is, Lincoln knew the country would be divided on slavery. He knew the country had to unite in order to stand. The country, in this case, had to put aside their differences and do what is right- the abolishment of slavery.

The slavery we fight today is of a different sort, but make no mistake, it’s slavery. When a nation binds itself to sin, the chains dig deep. But, instead of seeing these chains on our bodies, they hide inside our souls. They keep our heart in bondage to the wrong master. This master is cruel. He wants violence. He wants uproar, death and hate.

What’s the answer then? We become slaves to the right master: JESUS CHRIST

“What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey-whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey in your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free of sin and have become slaves to righteousness,” Romans 6:15-18 NIV.

We are slaves to Christ

If we are slaves to anyone but Christ, we are slaves to the enemy and his plans. We cannot dwell in the shelter of the Most High. We cannot be covered by his wings and find refuge. We will fear the terror of the night and the arrow that flies by day. We will fear pestilence and every dart the enemy hurls.  We cannot live out the words of Psalm 91 if we refuse to receive Jesus as Lord. He is our Psalm 91. HE IS OUR 911.

As individuals, we cannot control an entire nation. But, we can intercede on our nation’s behalf. We can lead others to Christ and to his shelter. The more people we have following Jesus in this nation, the better chance we stand against the enemy who wants to take it down. Instead of dwelling in the shelter of the Most High, the enemy wants us to sink like Titanic. He wants our lives flooded with fear and anger so we will rip apart.

The Tetrad of Blood Moons: God is speaking

As I mentioned earlier, there was a tetrad of four blood moons in 2014 and 2015.  All of these blood moons (also known as total lunar eclipses) occurred on Feasts (appointments) of the Lord.  I mentioned the ones that occurred on Passover in two different years (2014, 2015).  There were two more that occurred during these years, but on the Feast of Tabernacles. One of these blood moons happened on October 8, 2014. This date lines up with the date John Hancock died. His signature is forever remembered as the largest one on the Declaration of Independence. He was also a radical revolutionary who knew no fear, and rallied the Patriots to fight the British. He and John Adams were public enemy number one to the British, and if caught, they were to be hung.

Principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it: and my body I recommend to the earth….nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mercy and power of God.” John Hancock. largest signature on the Declaration

John Hancock believed in the power and mercy of God. I find it interesting the October 8, 2014  blood moon date on the Feast of Tabernacles lined up with his death.  It makes me think of the new tower built in New York City to replace the Twin Towers that came down on 9-11.  The height of this new tower (One World Trade Center) is 1,776 feet-  the height equals the year we declared our independence as a nation.  Is God reminding us that we can’t call on towers to save us? Our independence comes from dependence on God. His mercy and power are the keys to our survival as a nation.

The last blood moon of the tetrad occurred on September 28, 2015 on the Feast of Tabernacles as well. This lined up with the Battle of Yorktown, which began on September 28, 1781. The Battle of Yorktown, which ended in American victory, is what officially ended the Revolutionary War and made America a new nation.

It is also the date on a letter (September 28, 1863)  sent to Abraham Lincoln, by a very passionate woman named Sarah Josepha Hale.  Her story is an interesting one.  To see her letter click here

Lincoln and Thanksgiving

Sarah Josepha Hale has been given credit for convincing Abraham Lincoln to make Thanksgiving a national holiday. She was a prominent writer and had already written the famous, “Mary Had a Little Lamb”.  In 1830 she founded the American Ladies Magazine and wrote about issues that affected women.  Next, she went on to be the editor of Godey’s Lady Book, where she would remain up through the Civil War.  She saw the tension between the North and the South.  She believed a National Day of Thanksgiving could unify the nation and remind them of the values of their Creator.  By 1854, more than 30 states were celebrating Thanksgiving, but it wasn’t yet a national holiday.  Hale did not give up.  She thought the North and the South should unify in thanksgiving to God.

Sarah Hale was right on target in urging Lincoln to recognize Thanksgiving. After all, when we give thanks to God for his blessings, he blesses us richly. How do you feel when your child thanks you? It’s makes you want to do more for him/her doesn’t it? I find it interesting that Sarah Hale died on April 30, 1879.  Why? Because George Washington took the oath of office on this same date, but 90 years earlier in 1789. In his speech on April 30, he urged the United States to thank God and to never forget is is the Lord who blesses the nation.

 A National Day of Thanksgiving

Abraham Lincoln would call for a day of Thanksgiving in April 1862, and again in 1863 after the Battle of Gettysburg.  Hale continued to write to Lincoln, and her letter dated September 28 urged him to make Thanksgiving a national holiday that would be a “permanent American custom.”

Within a week of receiving Hale’s September 28 letter, a proclamation was drafted that would make Thanksgiving a permanent national observance.

The concept of having a national Thanksgiving didn’t begin in the mind of Sarah  Josepha Hale.  On October 3, 1789, George Washington declared Thursday, November 26, as a national day of thanks. Washington stated a day of thanks was important so Americans would be reminded of God’s providential hand in helping them win the Revolutionary War, and his hand in guiding them through the establishment of a national government.  His proclamation didn’t make the observance a national holiday, but it got the ball rolling.

John Adams and Thanksgiving

John Adams declared two days of fasting and thanksgiving during his presidency in May of 1798, and April of 1799.  Here is some of what Adams wrote:

“I do hereby recommend accordingly, that Thursday, the 25th day of April next, be observed throughout the United States of America as a day of solemn humiliation, fasting and prayer; that citizens on that day abstain as far as may be from their secular operations, devote their time to the sacred duties of religion in public and in private; and that they call to mind our numerous offenses against the Most High God, confess them before Him with the sincerest penitence, implore His pardoning mercy, through the Great Mediator and Redeemer, for our past transgressions………”

Can I just say WOW! Adams went a step further than Washington. It is like he was calling out for a Day of Atonement.  This was one of the Feasts of the Lord where the entire nation of Israel would fast and pray to God- asking for forgiveness. The High Priest would go into the Holy of Holies and be the mediator for the nation.

Oh, how our nation needs this! We cannot move forward without Jesus being our front and rear guard. Many of our nation’s presidents knew this.  The people knew it as well.

But we are now at a point where our nation is split. There are those who want Jesus in our nation and those who do not.  There are also those who claim to know Jesus, but they do not follow him.  I see this quite a bit actually.  There are so many who attend church, but they don’t have a relationship with Jesus.  They don’t think about Jesus. They don’t speak his name in public. They don’t read his word. It’s a one way relationship.  No one wants to get too “religious”.  It’s not religion- it’s a relationship with the Savior.  This is what people in our nation need.

Solar Eclipses

There are two total solar eclipses that will occur on American soil within seven years of each other. One has already occurred on August 21, 2017 and this one only touched U.S. soil. This hasn’t happened (where an eclipse has only touched U.S. soil) since the American Revolution! Another one will occur on April 8, 2024.

The August 21 Total Solar Eclipse

The August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse bisected (divided) our nation as it traveled from west to east across the United States. Click here if you want to see a map of the path.  The path of totality hit our land at 10:15 a.m., beginning along the coast of Oregon near LINCOLN City. Then it moved through the states of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and finally exited out of South Carolina. That equals 14 states that the eclipse shadow passed over!

The eclipse exited from an area that really got the wheels in my head turning. It exited from Charleston, South Carolina. This means it passed through Ft. Sumter, WHICH IS WHERE THE FIRST BATTLE OF THE CIVIL WAR WAS FOUGHT! Not only that, the eclipse’s shadow entered through LINCOLN CITY.

And here’s the kicker! The eclipse touched down at 10:15 a.m. near Lincoln City, Oregon.  Abraham Lincoln was shot at 10:15 p.m. (on April 14, 1865).  That’s a 12 hour time difference, but the same numbers are in the time! Can you say, what are the chances? By the way, it’s a 12 hour time difference, but 12 points to divine order and government. If you ask me, the Lord is reminding us he is in charge and we’d better pay attention!

This eclipse divides the United States in half if you check out the path.  Is this coincidence, or is the Lord trying to tell us something?  Here is a map showing the eclipse entering through Lincoln City and Newport Oregon.  Here is  the map that shows the eclipse leaving through Charleston.

God’s Calendar

Here’s something else you may not know. God has a biblical calendar that is different from the Gregorian calendar that the world follows. He will speak to us on our calendar, as well as his.  But, guess what? This eclipse hit on the first day of the biblical month of Elul. You are probably saying, “ELUL WHAT” I don’t have time to explain the whole Biblical calendar, but I will say that all 12 months on God’s calendar have significance in different ways. If you’ve got the time, I suggest studying this because it’s absolutely fascinating! Here’s a link to learn more about Elul if you are interested.

Anyway, the month of Elul is the time on God’s calendar for repentance. During this month, believers are to examine their lives and repent of past transgressions. Each day in the synagogue, a shofar (trumpet) is blasted as a wake up call for repentance. Once the month of Elul is complete, it will usher in the Lord’s Feast known as The Feast of Trumpets. On this feast the trumpet is blasted 100 times. The last blast is called THE LAST TRUMP. Sound familiar?

“Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—  in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed,” 1 Corinthians 15:52.

This mystery being described here is an event known as The Rapture, or the catching away of the Bride of Christ. Believers will be taken to the prepared place in heaven in the  blink of an eye.  It will happen as the Last Trump.

Just a little fun fact: We currently have a president with the name Trump and the Vice President is named  Mike Pence. The name Pence is the plural form of the word penny.  A penny is one hundredth of a dollar.  So, if you put Trump and Pence together you have 100th trump. On the Feast of Trumpets, 100 trumpet blasts are played and the 100th trump is called THE LAST TRUMP.

Coincidence? I cannot say for sure. I do believe, however, that Jesus’ return is at the door. No one knows the day or hour, but I believe God is calling out to us and sending reminders and warnings to wake us up.

Repentance is the key to the month of Elul. The solar eclipse of August 21, 2017  hit at the beginning of Elul.  Perhaps God is saying, “America, wake up from your slumber and repent. Turn back to me!” Forty days after the first day of Elul is the feast that comes after the Feast of Trumpets. It is called the Day of Atonement. This is the day back in biblical times when the nation of Israel received atonement at the intercession of the High Priest.

Jesus has become the High Priest, so he is the one who brings our personal and national atonement. He is our intercessor. His blood covers our sins when we receive him as Lord and Savior.

August 21, 2017 shares a date with another famous eclipse that occurred on August 21, 1914. This eclipse crossed over Eastern Europe shortly after the outbreak of World War 1.  The assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand of Austria/Hungary had occurred just prior to this on June 28th, 1914. This assassination was the spark that started a war which had been brewing for quite some time.  Here is a link if you want to see the path and general info about the World War 1 eclipse.

Solar eclipses are signs to the nations. Do you know why? Because the nations follow a sun calendar. The Gregorian calendar with the months January through December is a solar calendar.

The April 8, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse

The next solar eclipse is coming on April 8, 2024. To see pictures of the eclipse path click here.

The Great North American Eclipse

This total solar eclipse is being called The Great North American Eclipse because it touches Mexico, then the United States, and exits through Canada.  The eclipse’s shadow first hits Mexico, then enters the U.S. through Texas. From there it runs diagonally through Maine and travels through Canada.  I would like to add that this eclipse leaves Canada after passing through Newfoundland. The Titanic was found at the bottom of the ocean, about 400 miles from Newfoundland.

As far as the U.S. is concerned, this eclipse will pass through 13 states and once again bisect (divide) the nation.  After exiting Mexico, it will enter the U.S. through the Rio Grande River, where it will enter Texas. The eclipse’s longest duration will happen in Texas. This means the viewing of the eclipse will last the longest here.  Texas is the largest of the contiguous U.S. states. Also, not many people know that the last battle of the Civil War was actually fought in Texas. Even though the surrender happened in Virginia and the war officially ended on April 9, the message didn’t get to this part of Texas. This last battle was fought on May 12 and 13 in Brownsville, Texas.

The eclipse will exit the U.S. through Maine, but not until after hitting Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania,  New York, Vermont and New Hampshire. (The eclipse also passes through tiny portions of Tennessee and Michigan.)

April 8 is tied to Civil War History

The date April 8 has some Civil War history to take note of.  It was on April 8, 1864 that the United States Senate took a crucial step toward the abolition of slavery.  The 13th amendment was passed in the Senate by a vote of 38 to 6.  The 13th amendment, of course, abolished slavery.

What is interesting is that on January 31, 2018 we had a triple blue blood moon that occurred on the Hebrew holiday known as Tu B Shevat.  It was seen in the U.S. and this lined up with when the House of Representatives passed the 13th amendment in 1865!

On April 8, 1864 the Senate passed the 13th amendment.  (This amendment had to be approved and passed by the House and the Senate, but it was passed in phases, at different times/years–but both occurred on eclipse dates.)

So what we have here are two events (their dates coinciding with recent celestial sightings- lunar eclipses and solar eclipses) that are tied to the Civil War and the 13th amendment- division and freedom.

Here’s something else that happened on April 8. On this date in 1904, Midtown Manhattan, formerly known as Longacre Square, was renamed Times Square.  Why was the name changed? The New York Times had just moved to the Times Building (which was the 2nd tallest building in New York City.)  The Publisher of the New York Times convinced the Mayor to not only build a subway station there, but also to rename the area after the New York Times. A few weeks later, the very first ad was seen lighting up the side of a bank near Broadway. If you go to New York City now, you will see ads lighting up the entire area in electrified, bold colors.

Times SquareWhy am I even mentioning this event being tied to the April 8  upcoming solar eclipse date? Two words: THE MEDIA.  Newspapers such as the New York Times no longer report the truth. Their version of the truth is what’s dividing our nation in two. Their liberal agenda would make George Washington cringe.  Media outlets like the New York Times should not be trusted sources for knowledge.  The glitzy flashy colors of Times Square ads may look appealing, but make no mistake, they are simply a reminder of the world’s system that constantly tries to draw us into their truth.

The most important source for knowledge we have right now is the Good Book- the Bible!   I suggest consulting it daily for the latest in prophetic news.

The paths of the these two total solar eclipses that bisect the United States on August 21, 2017, and seven years later on April 8, 2024 form an X when placed on the map.

eclipse map
My son drew this map to show the eclipse paths

The X in Hebrew

Some would say this reminds them of the X on the Confederate flag.  But, more telling is that the X in ancient Hebrew is known as the letter TAV.  In Hebrew, letters have sounds and meanings.  The meaning of this Hebrew letter is “a mark, sign or signature”.  In ancient Semitic languages, an X also stood for the name of Christ.

Something important to note is that all Hebrew letters are alphanumeric.  This means they have numerical values assigned to them.

The numerical value of the TAV or X is 400.

The Israelites were in bondage in Egypt for 400 years,  but then released at the Exodus so the number itself can be tied to freedom from bondage (Genesis 15:13).   Also, there were 400 years of silence from the time of Malachi the prophet, until Jesus was born and revealed to the world.  Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament. Malachi’s name means MESSENGER.  The word for angel comes from the same root, which is malach. Angels are messengers, or God’s ambassadors.  Malachi warned Israel they would be punished for their disobedience, but he also gave them a great hope by revealing that a Messiah was on his way- Jesus.

Tav (the X) is the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

Jesus said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega.” But in Hebrew this would be, “I am the Aleph and the Tav.”  This means he is the first and the last. He knows the beginning and the end.

It is possible the Lord is giving us signs that his son, Jesus Christ, will return soon and set all this division straight, and bring freedom once and for all ?  After all, Jesus is the only one who brings true and lasting freedom.  We do not know the exact timing of course. No one knows the day or the hour.  However, we do know Jesus is the one who breaks down the dividing wall between Jew and Gentile, and between all people! Ephesians 2:14

TAV

How do we really achieve freedom?  Is it through war?  Is it through power and conquest?  Perhaps some people would say yes- war is the only way.  But, that’s not what Christ says.   It is only through Christ that we can achieve true freedom.  “For he himself is our peace, who broke down the dividing wall between Jew and Gentile” Ephesians 2:14.  Aside from Christ, we cannot solve our insurmountable differences, and the division among us will become larger. Division will occur not only in our own nation, but around the world.

2 Timothy 3 explains what the last days will be like. As you read this list, if you don’t realize this describes our world at present time, then I don’t know what to say.

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

I won’t go into all of these because it would take too long, but I’ll go over a few so you get the picture.  I was watching a teaching from Prophecy Watchers and they went into the meanings behind certain words in the Greek so I will share those.

In the last days (which is now), perilous times will come. The word perilous is the Greek word chalepos. This word means dangerous, troublesome, harsh and fierce. But a more accurate description of this word would be RAGING INSANITY.  This means in the last days we will face raging insanity!  This raging insanity will come from the way the world behaves, and the philosophies of evil people.

The word chalepos is only used twice in the New Testament. The other time it is used is in Matthew 8:28 when describing two demon possessed men.  In this way, we can see the  word chalepos or perilous means in the last days demonically possessed humans will rage.  The One World Government is an example of this, but it is also seen everywhere in current society. Ideas that were once thought crazy are now being promoted and accepted.  Just watch T.V. once in a while and you will see. Better yet, walk out your front door.

If you look at the list of how people will behave in these raging insane times, you will see that people will be lovers of self, proud and boastful. If you go on Facebook, You Tube, Tik Tok, Instagram, Snapchat and any other social media site I’ve missed, I’m sure you can figure this one out! This world is obsessed with promoting themselves.

It goes on to say that people will be without natural affection. This means men will love men and women will love women in unnatural ways. This is not God’s design. God’s design is for a man and woman to be united in love through marriage.

People will be lovers of pleasures, rather than lovers of God. This can be seen through people who seek their own thrills and pleasure, even if it goes against God’s laws.

These things are happening right now as I write this, and will continue until Jesus returns to set up his kingdom.

The Holy Spirit is Radical in a Good Way!

Division is here. On May 30, 2020, during the Feast of Pentecost, the Lincoln Memorial was vandalized. Pentecost is the Feast Day that the Holy Spirit descended upon believers in Jerusalem. This Holy Spirit is the seal for all believers that marked them with the blood of the Lamb- Jesus. All those who receive Christ Jesus are given this amazing Holy Spirit. This is how we hear from the Lord Jesus. What is he telling us during these turbulent days? I can tell you one thing- he is not telling us to turn to violence and hate. If anything, he wants us to speak the truth in love and share the gospel.  This doesn’t mean we go along with the crowd. In contrast, we do something radical, yet not violent. We share the truth of Jesus Christ with everyone. We do this through the power of the Holy Spirit.

In March of 1863, Abraham Lincoln found himself at the helm of a country falling apart.  The throes of war were in full swing and the country hung by a thread.  The Civil War raged, and men perished throughout the land.  Lincoln saw that the country was in great need of revival and repentance.  He decided he would take action, and reach out to the country in an amazing, but humble way.

Lincoln declared a National Day of Fasting

He decided to proclaim a National Fast Day.  On this day Lincoln urged the country to fast and pray to God.  This National Fast Day was approved and appointed on March 30,1863, but was observed on April 30,1863.  Does the date sound familiar? It’s the same date Washington was inaugurated in 1789 in New York City near Ground Zero. It’s the same date Sarah Josepha Hale died- the woman who convinced the President to declare Thanksgiving (to God) as a permanent national holiday. It’s the same date One World Trade Center became the tallest tower in New York City in 2012.

Lincoln knew the nation’s buildings, accomplishments and towers would not save them.  So, he wrote a detailed letter, describing what needed to be done, and why it was important to repent and call out to God during this time of crisis.  Below is a copy of what Lincoln said in his letter to the nation.

By the President of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln

And, insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear that the awful calamity of civil war, which now desolates the land, may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole People? We have been recipients of the choicest bounties in Heaven.  We have been preserved, thee many years in peace and prosperity.  We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown.  But we have forgotten God.  We have forgotten the gracious hand, which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own.  Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!

It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.

Now, therefore, in compliance with the request, and fully concurring in the views of the Senate, I do, by this my proclamation, designate and set apart Thursday, the 30th day of April 1863, as a day of national humiliation, fasting and prayer.  And I do hereby request all of the People to abstain, on that day, from their ordinary secular pursuits, and to unite, at their several places of public worship and their respective homes, in keeping the day holy to the Lord, and devoted to the humble discharge of the religious duties proper to that solemn occasion.

All this being done, in sincerity and truth, let us then rest humbly in the hope authorized by the Divine teachings, that the united cry of the Nation will be heard on high, and answered with blessings, no less that the pardon of our national sins, and the restoration of our now divided and suffering Country, to its former happy condition of unity and peace.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.

President Abraham Lincoln

We should heed the words of Mr. Lincoln.  It’s interesting to note that the Lincoln Memorial is shown on the back of both the United States one cent coin and the five-dollar bill, while the front of each one bears Lincoln’s portrait.  Even our money reminds us of his words. It reminds us of what happens to a dividing nation, and what it takes to heal it.
It’s a reminder that we should call out to the Lord.  I cannot promise our nation will prosper forever. That is in God’s hands.

We must always remember that God is sovereign and it is possible that the United States will not remain the most powerful nation forever. In fact, we know Jesus is returning to get his Bride.  Then, he is coming back to Jerusalem. This will be where the most powerful kingdom on earth begins. No matter what happens, we stand up as the people of God, or as Mr. Lincoln said:

“Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.”Abraham Lincoln

Stand with Jesus and your feet will be firm no matter what happens to our nation.

What will it be America? Insurrection or Resurrection?  I stand with resurrection! Jesus resurrected so we too could be resurrected one day when he returns. Until then, Jesus calls on us to bring his message of salvation to others. Through his blood, our lives become resurrected. Our families become resurrected. Our nation becomes resurrected.

Galatians 3:28 says:

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Jesus unites us together: black, white, rich, poor, young old……….HE IS THE KEY TO TRUE FREEDOM. HE REMOVES DIVISION BECAUSE HE IS THE ONE WHO UNITES!

I’ll leave you with the words of the most famous song of the Civil War, written by Julia Ward Howe.

May 27, 1819 was Mrs. Howe’s birthday.  – she was an advocate for abolitionism, women’s suffrage and social activism.   George Floyd died May 25, 2020  and the second wave of protests broke out on May 27, 2020.

The Civil War was in full swing when Mrs. Howe went to visit one of the Union Army camps and heard the troops singing a tune called “John Brown’s Body.”  John Brown led an insurrection before the Civil War and he was hung for his actions.  She was asked to rewrite the lyrics of this song about him.

That night she went to sleep, but was awakened before the light of day.  Even though she couldn’t see, she got up and wrote the words while they were still on her mind, and in her heart. The song was renamed The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Read the words and note she doesn’t talk about the Civil War itself, but instead the one who would bring peace. She doesn’t talk about division.  She talks about Jesus and his return.  As a nation with many in the dark, it would make sense that we focus on the real King of our land – Jesus.  He is the ONLY ONE WHO WILL HEAL IT— AND WILL ONE DAY RULE IT!

Better yet, Jesus is coming back! That is the greatest message of hope we have my friends!!! This is the message that should be on every bumper sticker, billboard, T-shirt and instagram post. This is the message that will produce CHANGE!

Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus, Come!   See lyrics below…….

BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC, by Julia Ward Howe:  Written 1861

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;

He is trampling our the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;

He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;

His truth is marching on.

Glory, glory hallelujah,   (chorus)

    Glory, glory hallelujah,

    Glory, glory hallelujah

His truth is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;

He is sifting out the hearts of men before his judgment seat;

Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him; be jubilant, my feet!

Our God is marching on.  (Repeat chorus above)

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,

With a glory in his bosom that transfigures you and me;

As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free;

While God is marching on, (Repeat Chorus)

He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,

His wisdom to the mighty, He is honor to the brave;

So the world shall be his footstool, and His faithful He shall save;

Our God is marching on.

Yes, Division is here, but HE IS COMING BACK! Hallelujah!!!!

One thought on “Insurrection or Resurrection? True Freedom Comes Through Jesus

  1. It is a great comfort to know there are more for U.S. than against U.S. , difficult to see when looking at the mainstream. But we know of a stream that flows with the purest of waters out from the Father.
