WHAT IS THE MARK?

Today’s post is going to be about something extremely important and often overlooked by the average Christian–THE MARK. 

Oddly enough, even non-Christians have some knowledge of 666–also called the “Devil’s number,”  or the “Devil’s mark.” While they may not know all the details, most have some idea that it’s a “bad thing” and it has something to do with “the end of the world.” Many even understand that an evil world leader will rise– referred to as the Antichrist. He will be tied to this number, which represents man. 

We find out about 666 in Revelation 13:16-18 where it says:

^“It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.”

Notice it says all people had to receive a MARK that is tied to this number. They cannot buy or sell without this mark that is placed on their hands and foreheads. This word mark is actually the Greek word charagma. According to Blue Letter Bible, the word means: a stamp, an imprinted mark, the mark branded upon horses, a stamp as a badge of servitude, or a graven image.

The root word for charagma is charax and it means: a pale or stake, a palisade or rampart; to sharpen to a point.

Now stay with me because I have a point to make–literally! To completely understand what this mark is, and what it may look like, we have examine the word carefully. We know this mark (charagma) is a “stamp of servitude” and in this case, it would mean servitude to the Antichrist. We also know it will be given on the hand or forehead. 

But what might this mark look like? Let’s look at what charax means: a palisade and to sharpen to a point.

What is a palisade? The word itself comes from the Latin palus, which means stake. I’m sure you’ve seen a wooden stake before. It is a long wooden stick that is sharpened to a point on one end. To create a palisade, one uses stakes of wood, or even small tree trunks and then they are sharpened to a point. Next, they are driven into the ground one by one. An entire fence/border can be created this way. If you’ve ever visited an old fort, you’ve probably seen one surrounding the perimeter. The fence itself can also be pointed at the top, for both defensive, or decorative purposes. See the pictures provided.

It is plausible to say that this future mark will be something that is pointy and/or sharp, like a palisade. It could include rows of sharp, pointed structures, resembling rows of fences. Many of you might be trying to picture this. Well, I’m going to show you some technology that’s already in the works. It’s being developed for future use.

Researchers at MIT are working on a way to record a person’s vaccination history. It would be stored using a pattern of dye that is placed under the skin during a vaccination. Before you read, understand that they’ve been working on this technology for many years, but now they are at the point where it can be utilized. Below is a quote from an article published by MIT that talks about how this technology could be used.

“In areas where paper vaccination cards are often lost or do not exist at all, and electronic databases are unheard of, this technology could enable the rapid and anonymous detection of patient vaccination history to ensure that every child is vaccinated,” says Kevin McHugh, a former MIT postdoc who is now an assistant professor of bioengineering at Rice University.

This dye is made up of nanocrystals called QUANTUM DOTS. These dots can remain under your skin for up to five years. If someone wants to know if you’ve been vaccinated, it would be as simple as scanning over the area of the skin where you were given the injection. This area would light up so they would know.

Below is information straight from an article from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology):  

“The researchers designed their dye to be delivered by a microneedle patch rather than a traditional syringe and needle. Such patches are now being developed to deliver vaccines for measles, rubella, and other diseases, and the researchers showed that their dye could be easily incorporated into these patches.

The microneedles used in this study are made from a mixture of dissolvable sugar and a polymer called PVA, as well as the quantum-dot dye and the vaccine. When the patch is applied to the skin, the microneedles, which are 1.5 millimeters long, partially dissolve, releasing their payload within about two minutes.”  Be sure to open the article links so you can see what these patches look like.

By the way, if you scroll to the bottom of the article, you’ll see the research is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. What a shocker! The same guy who wants to reduce the earth’s population is the same guy funding technology to track us.   

Watch this you tube video of the mirco needle patch posted June 27, 2017. The technology is out there. It’s a matter of time before they start to use it. By the way, the video shows a patch they are planning to use with the flu vaccine. It is possible they will begin using these patches for covid vaccines as well.

When I look at those needle patches, I can see all the little palisades–rows of tiny pointed needles lined up together. Also, notice that these microneedles could be placed on your hand.  It’s interesting to me that the press release on this technology happened almost exactly a year before the covid pandemic.

Now keep in mind I am not saying the covid vaccine is the mark of the beast. I know there are some people out there who are saying it is. But, in this case there is no worship of the Antichrist involved. People are not getting the covid vaccine in order to pledge their allegiance to a world leader. The mark described in Revelation is tied to worshipping the Beast (Antichrist) and is called a stamp of servitude. When the real mark comes, people will know it is tied to serving, honoring and bowing down to the Antichrist. 

That being said, even though it isn’t the mark,  I will never get the covid vaccine because it has not been thoroughly tested, and it’s tied to a huge One World agenda. You can read my other blogs if you want more details on this. That being said, we are seeing the shadows of the future mark as we see more and more government control over our lives. 

The mark of the beast will not come until the Seven Year Tribulation, which is described in Revelation. I personally believe the Bride of Christ will be raptured before this happens and therefore, we will not be here for this mark. Some have said we are in the Tribulation right now, but this is not true. There has been no seven-year peace treaty made with the Antichrist (which is what happens at the beginning of the Tribulation). Also, just read the book of Revelation and you will see all the intense seal, trumpet and bowl judgments being dished out. From this alone, you will realize this is not happening right now. Nonetheless, as we see the shadow of this future event, we need to have our eyes open and warn others about it. One day, when the Tribulation does arrive, many of those people we warned will remember what we told them. Also keep in mind that the enemy is always trying to set up his plans ahead of time. Just think about it: For over a year we have been forced to wear masks just so we can “buy and sell.” We used them to enter stores and businesses. Now, we see a HUGE push for everyone to get the “vaccine.” It’s not subtle either–it’s in your face wherever you go. People are even getting paid to take it. They are giving away lottery tickets, donuts and vacations. Unfortunately, some employers are trying to force their employees to take it.

Mask is just one letter difference from Mark. Again, I’m not saying the vaccine is the mark, but I can see the shadows of the future agenda written all over it. Before the real mark comes one day, we will see pre-cursors, or what I like to call “Braxton-Hicks contractions.” We are seeing those now and they will continue as time progresses. As technology and man’s plans advance, we should be wise to the enemy’s plots. The more we see these plots arise, the closer we are to the Tribulation. But that also means we should get ready for the Rapture of the Church and Jesus’ return for his Bride! We don’t know the day or the hour, but we need to have our eyes open as the season approaches.

Let’s delve into scripture again so we can uncover more information about the mark….

After Revelation 13, we move on to chapter 14 and the warning about the mark gets very intense: 

“A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: ‘If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.  And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.’  This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.”

Well, that doesn’t sound very good! Drinking the wine of God’s fury. Tormented with burning sulfur. No rest day or night………… 

Believe it or not, there’s more…

“Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, ‘Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth,’ The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image,” Revelation 16:1-2.

Anyone who has the mark breaks out with festering sores. That sounds miserable. Some scholars believe the sores could be the result of a reaction to the pharmakeia they received through the mark. Does that word sound familiar? It should because this is where we get the English word for pharmacy. In the Greek, this word pharmakeia means: the use or the administering of drugs, poisoning, sorcery, magic arts; also the deceptions and seductions of idolatry. The root word tied to pharmakeia is pharmakeus, which means: a druggist, pharmacist, poisoner, magician, sorcerer, or one who prepares magical remedies.

This word pharmakeia is found in Revelation 9 and 18, but the word is translated as SORCERIES in English. 

^“And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries (pharmakeia) were all nations deceived,” Revelation 18:23.

Revelation 9:20 says this:

^“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries (pharmakeia), nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

Interestingly enough, this word pharmakeia is only used three times in the New Testament, while pharmakeus is used just once. Pharmakeia/pharmakeus is used exclusively in Revelation, except for one instance, where it is used in Galatians 5:19-20.  ^“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies….”  The word witchcraft in this verse is pharmakeia. 

This tells us that the word sorcery (drugs/pharmakeia) is very important to take note of in reference to prophecy.

Some scholars have said perhaps the pharmakeia mentioned in Revelation 18 is marijuana or illegal drugs. But that doesn’t seem like it fits here because the verse says BY THY SORCERIES ALL NATIONS WERE DECEIVED.  All the nations wouldn’t be deceived by marijuana or illegal drugs. It’s more plausible that it would be something that ties the person directly to the beast–possibly a medical mark/genetic therapy that can alter human DNA. This means it could be a drug with some sort of AI (artificial intelligence) that changes the person’s genetic code. CRISPR-Cas9 technology already exists that allows scientists to alter the genome. Check out these links.  Also, for the first time in history, we have “vaccines” that use mRNA technology. Many Christians and doctors are worried these “vaccines” could change our genetic code through reverse transcriptase. There is a lot of debate about it, but either way, the use of mRNA and vector technology should make Christians wake up and realize that the technology will only go further and further as we approach the Tribulation. Personally, I do not want any product in my body that is called “the software of life.” It’s also called an “operating system.” Check out this link if you want to see why I used that name.  By the way, the companies that make these “vaccines” (which are really gene therapies) are making billions and billions of dollars from their pharmakeia. They have zero liability if you are injured from one of their products. It’s no skin off their back if people have adverse reactions or even die because you cannot sue them. In addition, these companies have strong ties to sketchy characters such as Bill Gates, Anthony Fauci and Francis Collins. The name of the game is money! Also, keep in mind the human trials are not complete for any of the companies creating the “vaccines.” Moderna’s are not complete until late 2022, and Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson are not complete until 2023. In the end, I think it’s a personal choice when it comes to vaccines. No one should be coerced or forced in any way to get one.

Now there is good news in here because I want to show you something that trumps the Mark of the Beast because it’s the mark that Jesus gives all those who put their faith in him. If we have this mark, we do not need to worry, or fear the future.

Ephesians 1:13-15 describes this different kind of mark: 

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.”

Our mark is actually a seal that comes from Jesus. The Greek word used for seal is sphragizo and this means: to mark a person or a thing, to set a mark upon by the impress of a seal or a stamp (ex: angels are sealed by God); to prove, confirm or attest to a thing, to authenticate, to place beyond doubt, to prove one’s testimony that he is what he professes to be, a seal for security from Satan. Other definitions include: to stamp (with a signet or private mark) for security or preservation.

This mark/seal is what ties us to our groom Jesus. The seal is the Holy Spirit and this is what marks us as his treasured possession. Also note that one of the definitions says: it is a seal that is our security from Satan.That means Satan cannot have us. We are authenticated as belonging to Jesus, beyond a shadow of a doubt.

There is another place where we see this mark/seal mentioned. 

2 Corinthians 1:21 says:

“Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

This clearly states that we are owned by God himself and because of this we are guaranteed a grand inheritance–eternal life and a home with Jesus.

Because we have this seal–this holy mark already, I do not believe we are destined to receive any other marks. How can we be sealed with Jesus’ mark, but then also be faced with receiving Satan’s mark? Satan’s mark could never “undo” the mark of Jesus, which is our eternal seal.  If Christians are here during the Tribulation, it’s possible that some would cave into the pressure out of fear and receive the mark–but if they already have the mark of the Holy Spirit, which is Jesus’ mark, how can this be possible?  Some would say that a true Christian would never take the mark of the beast during the Tribulation. Well, that’s one argument, but in your experience do all the Christians you know have strong faith? Don’t you know “weaker” Christians who would have a harder time holding the line and not giving in? So, if those weaker Christians took the mark, then does Satan’s mark erase Jesus’ mark- the same mark that scripture says guarantees our inheritance? If according to scripture, the mark/seal of the Holy Spirit stamps us with Jesus’ ownership, then how could Satan take that ownership away? How is that possible?

Truly, we all have varying levels of faith. We aren’t all super steadfast gritty Christians. Not every Christian we know would be able to stay strong enough– and endure a possible beheading during the Tribulation. I believe Jesus rescues his Bride before the Tribulation begins as described in Revelation 3:10. We are kept from the hour of trial….

^“Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.”

I know there are other interpretations, but when I read scripture and study it carefully, these things stand out to me. I’m not saying I have it all figured out. But, these are some things to think about and explore.

There are other reasons why I believe the Bride of Christ will not see the mark of the beast in the Tribulation. Going back to Exodus and the Passover, we see something quite interesting.

Exodus 13:14-16 says:

“In days to come, when your son asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ say to him, ‘With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the Lord killed the firstborn of both people and animals in Egypt. This is why I sacrifice to the Lord the first male offspring of every womb and redeem each of my firstborn sons.’ And it will be like a sign on your hand and a symbol on your forehead that the Lord brought us out of Egypt with his mighty hand.”

Did you catch that last part that says, “it will be like a SIGN ON YOUR HAND AND A SYMBOL ON YOUR FOREHEAD?”

If you’ve studied biblical scripture, you know that the Passover in Egypt was a great miracle where God rescued the Israelites from bondage, and saved them from the angel of death. The blood of the lamb was painted on their doorposts as a sign, and this would cause death to pass over them. This mighty miracle was pointing to the future sacrifice of Jesus Christ as the Passover lamb. The blood he shed on the cross was the blood that saves all those who put faith in him. Once we receive Jesus by faith, we are saved from eternal death. The blood was the sign on the door during the Passover, just as Jesus’ blood is the door to eternal life.

When the verses in Exodus say that the remembrance of the Passover will be like a sign on the hand and forehead, it’s a reference to the future mark/seal that would come later through Jesus’ death on the cross. We receive this seal/mark from Jesus when he becomes our Savior. At the Passover, the entire door was sealed, just as we are sealed entirely by Jesus’ blood.  Jesus’ mark covers us completely and it’s a sign on the hand and forehead, which is the same place the future mark of the beast will be given.  Can you see the point here? Jesus has already marked us in this very location! This mark of Jesus is like the scarlet cord Rahab hung out of her window at Jericho. While all of Jericho was destroyed, Rahab and her family were spared. Why? Because she put her faith in the God of Israel. Therefore, she marked her home with the scarlet cord that tied her to this faith. The Bride of Christ is marked with this scarlet cord that spares her the fires and destruction of the coming Tribulation. The mark of the Bride trumps the mark of the beast. The Bride is taken to the marriage ceremony in heaven, while the Antichrist and the mark of the beast unfolds on earth.

When it says the Passover will be a sign on your hand and your forehead, the word used for sign is OWTH– also spelled OWT. This word means: a distinguishing mark, a banner, remembrance, miraculous sign, token, proof, or a flag. 

Here we see that the blood will be a way to mark us, and it’s also a form of proof. When we break this Hebrew word OWT down into its individual letters, we see something amazing.  See picture below.  

Going right to left, the first letter is ALEPH, the second is VAV, and the third is TAV.  Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, while TAV is the last.  Scripture says that Jesus is the First and the Last. In Greek this is stated as Alpha and Omega.  

Revelation 21:13 says:

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

In Hebrew this would say, “I am the Aleph and the Tav.”

So, we can see the word for SIGN, (OWT- owth), actually has Jesus’ title inside it. Also, the letter VAV, which is the second letter in the word, has a meaning and a pictograph associated with it. All Hebrew letters have meanings tied to them, as well as images. The image associated with VAV is a NAIL. We know Jesus was pierced with nails on the cross. The pictograph associated with Aleph is an ox head, which means authority, strength, power or leader. The pictograph for TAV is…………are you ready for it??????????? It is a cross! That’s right! So in this word for sign we see this: The one who has all power and authority was pierced with nails on the cross.  This is Jesus of course!

We know Jesus suffered on the cross for SIX hours! Also, when Jesus was on the cross, it was the 6^th hour when darkness fell upon the land. That number is very symbolic because six is the number of man. The six hours Jesus suffered would bring freedom to any man or woman who receives him as the Savior. The 666 of Satan could not stop Jesus! 

We also see hands and foreheads mentioned again in Deuteronomy 6:5-9 which says:

^“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

This is saying that the Word of God itself will be a sign or a mark for us. Who is the Word? JESUS is the word made flesh, who dwelt among us. If we have the Word in us (Jesus) then we are marked. It marks our heart’s door, like the blood of the Passover lamb.

There is a future mark of the beast coming. It’s not here yet, but it will come. Will it take the form of a “vaccine” or medical treatment? It is possible because there are all sorts of technologies being developed which can change our genome. Here are a few links to explore. We have already seen how certain rights and freedoms can be taken away. Employers have fired people for not being vaccinated. In countries like Israel, the push to get vaccinated was so strong that a Green Pass was implemented in February, creating two classes of people- vaccinated and unvaccinated. Those who were vaccinated had more opportunities to “buy and sell.”  Luckily, by late May there was enough pushback on these draconian measures and the Green Pass is no longer being used. But what if in the future another strain of covid emerges? Will they implement it again?

Countries like the Philippines are trying to force all their citizens to get the vaccine. President Rodrigo Duterte threatened citizens by saying,”You choose vaccine or I will have you jailed…But for as long as you are here and you are a human being, and can carry the virus, get vaccinated.” How horrible! He is forcing people to get vaccinated or face jail time!!!!

We see the signs in front of our eyes. What will we do about it? Personally, I will not go along with any agenda that has even the smallest shadow of the future Antichrist system. Until the Rapture, I will hold my ground and hold fast to Jesus and his Word. I am marked by a powerful seal that cannot be taken or erased. When Jesus comes back, he will see this mark just as the Israelites saw Rahab’s scarlet cord. I cannot wait. I don’t know the day or the hour, but I’m marking the season and getting ready for his Return………….

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would not worship the image and they were thrown into the fiery furnace. God rescued them from this undeserved punishment. When you read about The Giant, and watch the video, you will see it’s the foreshadowing of a prophetic event in the future. The image of the beast…. Stay tuned for more info. I can tell you one thing–I do not want anything to do with this GIANT.
