PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM

“Catastrophe: Israeli death toll now 800- the emotional impact is like 26,000 Americans dying in 72 hours. Israel faces its own 9-11 and Pearl Harbor,” posts All Israel News on October 9, 2023. Israeli leaders have called for a “compete siege” of Gaza, which includes cutting off essential supplies. Citizens of Israel have been kidnapped, murdered and terrorized. Benjamin Netayahu stated that “Hamas must be eliminated like ISIS.”

Make no mistake, THIS IS WAR.

If you don’t follow events in Israel closely, you might think, “Oh, this kind of thing is always happening there.” No, that’s definitely not the case.

Yes, Israel constantly deals with rocket fire from terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, but they have not been invaded on this scale since the Yom Kippur War of 1973, the 1967 Six Days War, or the War for Independence in 1948. Fences and security barricades were breached in over 80 places. Cars loaded with terrorists and weapons made their way into many cities and towns, where they began shooting innocent victims. Drivers were executed on Israeli roads. Elderly people and children were murdered in cold blood. Women and even children were raped as Hamas made videos gloating about it.  At least 40 babies, some beheaded, have been found by Israeli soldiers in a village attacked by Hamas. Synagogues were bombed and homes burned to the ground.  Rockets made it to cities such as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Sderot, Ashdod, Askelon, Rishon Lezion and Beersheba. Border towns were also hit. All the while, Hamas is threatening to kill captives if Israel continues bombing Gaza.

Most people don’t have any idea why this is happening. In fact, it’s sad to realize that many Christians don’t even understand why Gaza is currently in the hands of terrorist groups like Hamas in the first place.

 To understand, we need to hop aboard a time machine and travel all the way back to 2004. 

Let’s take a look at a letter from that year. I call it the TITANIC LETTER.

WHY?
Because it’s dated APRIL 14, 2004. The Titanic hit an iceberg on APRIL 14, 1912, sinking to the bottom of the ocean on April 15.  This 2004 letter lays out a TITANIC plan that would put Israel in the path of colossal icebergs. The United States’ involvement in this plan would bring swift retribution in their own land, as I will soon explain. 

The subject of the 2004 letter is geared toward creating a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine. This “land for peace” deal was brokered by President George W. Bush and set a course for disaster. The deal also stipulated that Gaza and parts of the West Bank be given to the Palestinians. This part of the plan eventually happened and Gaza, as well as sections of the West Bank, were given away. What followed were continual rocket attacks and non-stop terrorist activity from the newly acquired Palestinian territory. The Jewish people had to leave their land while Hamas and inefficient government leaders ruled Gaza and the West Bank with an iron fist. The Palestinians living there ended up poor and miserable–ruled by a hostile, corrupt government that preaches hate against Israel and America.

Let’s see exactly what the letter from George Bush says: I highlighted some key points –also, I will dissect the letter in parts and respond with my own commentary.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister:

Thank you for your letter setting out your disengagement plan.

The United States remains hopeful and determined to find a way forward toward a resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian dispute. I remain committed to my June 24, 2002 vision of two states living side by side in peace and security as the key to peace, and to the roadmap as the route to get there.

We welcome the disengagement plan you have prepared, under which Israel would withdraw certain military installations and all settlements from Gaza, and withdraw certain military installations and settlements in the West Bank. These steps described in the plan will mark real progress toward realizing my June 24, 2002 vision, and make a real contribution towards peace. We also understand that, in this context, Israel believes it is important to bring new opportunities to the Negev and the Galilee. We are hopeful that steps pursuant to this plan, consistent with my vision, will remind all states and parties of their own obligations under the roadmap.

My response: Just looking at this part of the letter, you can see that Bush is saying he gives his blessing for Israel to leave their own land–the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Bush maintains it’s the way to peace.

I beg to differ Mr. Bush. Encouraging Israel to give away their God-given land was a horrible idea! In fact, the Bible admonishes all those who try to do this.  

Zechariah 12 says God will destroy all nations that come against Jerusalem. Zechariah 12:3 says, “And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered against it.” Joel 3 states that all the nations that divide up Israel’s land will be “put on trial.” Obadiah 1:15 declares, “For the Day of the Lord is near upon the heathen, as thou hast done (to Israel) it shall return upon your own head.” In reference to the Jews, the Bible says in Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.” If you read the books of Genesis, Deuteronomy, Numbers and Joshua you will clearly see that God has set aside the biblical land (which includes Gaza and the West Bank) for the Jewish people. Let’s see what else George Bush’s letter says:

First, the United States remains committed to my vision and to its implementation as described in the roadmap. The United States will do its utmost to prevent any attempt by anyone to impose any other plan. Under the roadmap, Palestinians must undertake an immediate cessation of armed activity and all acts of violence against Israelis anywhere, and all official Palestinian institutions must end incitement against Israel. The Palestinian leadership must act decisively against terror, including sustained, targeted, and effective operations to stop terrorism and dismantle terrorist capabilities and infrastructure. Palestinians must undertake a comprehensive and fundamental political reform that includes a strong parliamentary democracy and an empowered prime minister.

Second, there will be no security for Israelis or Palestinians until they and all states, in the region and beyond, join together to fight terrorism and dismantle terrorist organizations. The United States reiterates its steadfast commitment to Israel’s security, including secure, defensible borders, and to preserve and strengthen Israel’s capability to deter and defend itself, by itself, against any threat or possible combination of threats.

My response: Let’s stop right here for a moment. So, Mr. Bush is saying all terrorist activity must cease in order for the plan to work. 

HOW DID THAT WORK OUT? 

Well, we know exactly how it worked out because terrorist activity continued after the land was given away and has never stopped since. Here we are in 2023 and Israel has been completely invaded by these murderous terrorists. 

Also, there is a stipulation in the agreement that the Palestinians must form some kind of democracy. Well, we all know that hasn’t happened and it’s been almost 20 years! What has formed is a regime of terror that uses all the money needed for infrastructure to build tunnels and amass weapons to harm Israelis.

Let’s continue reading the letter:

The United States understands that after Israel withdraws from Gaza and/or parts of the West Bank, and pending agreements on other arrangements, existing arrangements regarding control of airspace, territorial waters, and land passages of the West Bank and Gaza will continue. The United States is strongly committed to Israel’s security and well-being as a Jewish state. It seems clear that an agreed, just, fair, and realistic framework for a solution to the Palestinian refugee issue as part of any final status agreement will need to be found through the establishment of a Palestinian state, and the settling of Palestinian refugees there, rather than in Israel.

My response: We see in this section that Bush is clearly advocating for the creation of a Palestinian state. To date, this hasn’t happened.

And why hasn’t it?

Because of the constant attacks from terrorists. The truth is that Israel should never give any of their land away and the United States should not be asking them to. The Palestinians had a chance to have their own state back in 1948 when Israel became a nation. What did they do? They attacked Israel in the 1948 War. Since then, they have been given many opportunities. But they are never satisfied because their goal is to take ALL OF THE LAND.  They have also aligned themselves with countries like Iran who want Israel destroyed, as well as America. The chaotic state of the Palestinian territory is the result of Hamas and corrupt officials who keep their own people under siege, even using them as human shields during war.

Moving on with the “TITANIC” letter: It continues by saying…

As you know, the United States supports the establishment of a Palestinian state that is viable, contiguous, sovereign, and independent, so that the Palestinian people can build their own future in accordance with my vision set forth in June 2002 and with the path set forth in the roadmap. The United States will join with others in the international community to foster the development of democratic political institutions and new leadership committed to those institutions, the reconstruction of civic institutions, the growth of a free and prosperous economy, and the building of capable security institutions dedicated to maintaining law and order and dismantling terrorist organizations.

A peace settlement negotiated between Israelis and Palestinians would be a great boon not only to those peoples but to the peoples of the entire region. Accordingly, the United States believes that all states in the region have special responsibilities: to support the building of the institutions of a Palestinian state; to fight terrorism, and cut off all forms of assistance to individuals and groups engaged in terrorism; and to begin now to move toward more normal relations with the State of Israel. These actions would be true contributions to building peace in the region.”

My response: Well Mr. Bush, the “peace settlement” you wrote about did nothing but bring harm to the region. In fact, it has escalated the problem and brought judgment upon your head. The land that was given away did not bring peace, but instead violence. The main perpetrators, Hamas, have a name that means violence in Hebrew. Iran has certainly helped support groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, by funding their terrorist missions. To this day the Biden Administration continues funding countries like Iran. In fact, just before Rosh Hashanah in 2022, Biden announced his plans to push a two state solution at the United Nations Headquarters on September 21, 2022. Countries like China fund terrorist organizations as well, allowing them to buy weapons, ammo, drones, etc.

YOU CANNOT NEGOTIATE PEACE WITH A TERRORIST GOVERNMENT AND YOU CAN’T PLEASE GOD BY DIVIDING HIS LAND AND GIVING IT TO THE TERRORISTS!

At this point there is no Palestinian state yet. But leaders keep trying at their own peril.

Actually, even before George W. Bush helped broker this land deal, it was his father George Herbert Walker Bush who started the process of pressuring Israel to give away land in 1991. Mr. Bush paid the price when the “Perfect Storm” hit his home at the very time he was trying to broker a “land for peace” deal with Israel.

Now that you have seen the Titanic letter that set Israel and the U.S. on the course for icebergs galore, let’s see what happened when the Gaza Strip was actually given to the Palestinians. Keep in mind that this is where the terrorists are attacking from right now.

Pay close attention because the historical ties to our nation are undeniable.

The process of Israel vacating her own land took some time. After the 2004 letter, more meetings were held and the plan moved forward. June 6, 2004, the disengagement plan was officially approved. Ironically, this was the anniversary of D-Day–the day that the U.S. and its allies invaded Normandy, changing the tide of the war. The opposite effect happened in Israel on this date, as America officially opened the door for the enemy (the Palestinian terrorist government) to invade from Gaza.

 A deadline was eventually set for when Israeli citizens would have to leave Gaza–it would be August 16, 2005. My birthday of all days. On the biblical calendar, this fell two days after the 9^th of Av–the time that commemorates when both Jewish Temples were destroyed by the enemies of Israel. The midnight deadline came and many Jewish settlers defied it. They refused to leave the land that belonged to them. Many danced around Torah scrolls, declaring that the land was part of their biblical inheritance. 

No matter how much they protested, these last Israelis would eventually have to leave by August 22. Next, all homes would be demolished by September 1, 2005, on the anniversary of the start of World War 2 back on September 1, 1939. During this war, the Jews’ land and lives would be taken by Hitler and his Nazi regime. 

Several days before homes were destroyed in the Gaza disengagement plan, something else happened that was sad, but also significant. On August 28, 2005, the Israeli Defense Forces began digging up the graves of Gush Katif cemetery, removing Jewish bodies from the soil, in order to relocate them to a new area outside of Gaza.

NOW IT’S TIME TO PAY ATTENTION because something else of great significance happened on August 28, 2005, the very day that those bodies were removed from the ground.

Hurricane Katrina prepared itself to strike the United States. In fact, it was on August 28, 2005 that it gained Category 5 status. A day later, Hurricane Katrina made landfall in New Orleans and destroyed the area. As a result, the citizens of New Orleans would be displaced, relocated or killed. As Jewish bodies were being removed from the land- literally, the soil of Israel, the land of the United States was being devastated by a hurricane that ripped away soil and homes. Even more disturbing is the fact that caskets and buried remains were found floating down the streets of Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi.  

Hurricane Katrina ended up being the most economically devastating hurricane (natural disaster) in U.S. history at that time. Not only that, the 2005 hurricane season was the most active– it included 3 of the 6 most intense hurricanes ever recorded in the Atlantic.

But there was something else. The spot that Hurricane Katrina hit with brutal force is well-known to anyone who watched coverage of the disaster.

It was New Orleans, Louisiana. Here the storm breached 53 levees. This allowed the full force of the Mississippi to be unleashed. Over 700 people were killed and virtually everything was flooded and destroyed. 

And why is this spot significant? 

The very place that Hurricane Katrina unleashed the full force of her wrath is the SITE OF THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE.

If you don’t remember your U.S. history, it’s time to brush up because it’s pivotal that you understand this when it comes to the consequences for dividing Israel’s land.

The Louisiana Purchase is perhaps one of the most important transactions made in U.S. history. This historical land deal doubled the size of the United States overnight. The transaction was made by Thomas Jefferson, who purchased the land from Napoleon. At the time, France owned quite a bit of land in what we now call the United States. 

 But here’s the key piece of info to understand–

Jefferson initially only tried to purchase the port of New Orleans and West Florida for ten million dollars. But, in a “twist of fate,” Napoleon offered Jefferson much, much, more. France’s leader offered to sell the United States not just New Orleans, but also 828,000 square miles of land west of the Mississippi River for the cheap price of 15 million. This meant the U.S. would acquire what equaled 15 current U.S. states and two Canadian provinces! (at this time the entire area was called the Louisiana Territory after France’s King Louis XIV).

Of course, Jefferson jumped at the chance to gain all of this land for the very cheap price of four cents an acre. Basically, the states we know today as Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, large sections of North and South Dakota, northeastern sections of New Mexico, a northern section of Texas, as well as Minnesota (west of the Mississippi River) were eventually carved out of this huge land allotment that the U.S. purchased from France.  Also included were Montana, Wyoming and Colorado (east of the Continental Divide) and Louisiana (west of the Mississippi River), which of course, included New Orleans.

The fact that Jefferson was offered this much land at a very cheap price was not a “twist of fate” or luck. It was a blessing from God. Once the United States gained all that land, they locked in their super power status. It put the U.S. on the map as a powerful country, and increased its resources substantially. 

SO………WHERE DID HURRICANE KATRINA HIT AFTER THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT PUSHED ISRAEL TO GIVE AWAY HER GOD-GIVEN LAND?

IN THE VERY PLACE THAT JEFFERSON OFFERED TO PURCHASE DURING THE MOST IMPORTANT FINANCIAL TRANSACTION IN U.S. HISTORY– NEW ORLEANS

In fact, Louisiana ended up being the first state officially carved out of this new land that would change the status of the U.S. forever.

And that’s not all the connections. Once Jefferson secured the land, he needed to send explorers to that untamed area so they could map the land and also document the resources, flora and fauna. He sent two brave explorers named Lewis and Clark. 

GUESS WHAT DATE LEWIS AND CLARK SET OUT TO EXPLORE THIS UNCHARTERED LAND OF THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE? 

MAY 14, 1804–  this is the date they launched their boats into the Missouri River at its mouth, 18 miles from St. Louis. 

WHY IS THAT MAY 14 DATE SIGNIFICANT?

On MAY 14, 1948, Israel officially became a nation again after being scattered for thousands of years. This is the date that Israel became the legal owner of their land once again (according to human contracts of course- God declares it was always their land ).

So, you see, when the United States’ leaders encouraged and helped Israel give away their biblical land, then their own land was hit by a devastating hurricane in the exact place that Thomas Jefferson sought to purchase in 1803. This spot is specifically tied to the economic and political prosperity of the United States because without the Louisiana Purchase, America would be a shadow of what it is today. 

Lewis and Clark went to explore the land that God blessed our nation with on the very date that Israel was blessed with their land– MAY 14.

Once the U.S. helped broker a deal for a two-state solution and supported the disengagement of Israel’s land, then the land our nation was blessed with was “disengaged” by a massive hurricane that would devastate not just New Orleans, but several states. We messed with Israel’s land and thus, our land was “messed with.” 

The Louisiana Purchase took place on April 30, 1803. This is the same date that our first President George Washington took the oath of office in New York City in 1789. It’s also the date the idea to build the Titanic was conceived over dinner in 1907. As a nation, if we turn away from God’s laws and support the division of the Holy Land, we run the grave risk of becoming like the Titanic.

The final disengagement of the Gaza Strip happened on September 11 and 12 of 2005. While the United States was observing the 4^th anniversary of the September 11 (9-11) attacks, the Israeli Defense Forces left the Gaza Strip for good. The gate to the area was closed the morning of September 12, 2005. The U.S. helped broker a deal with Israel that allowed terrorists to reside in their land and the final disengagement happened on the anniversary of when U.S. land was attacked by terrorists. Were those dates a coincidence?

So now we take a look at present day. The land of Israel has been attacked by terrorists on a grand scale from Gaza. Sadly, the media will probably spin the situation and try to place the blame on Israel. But the Bible told us this would happen. No matter what we hear the corrupt mainstream news say about Israel, we must remember that God loves his people and we must continue praying for the peace of Jerusalem, and for the salvation of the Jewish nation. It goes without saying that WE SHOULD NEVER SUPPORT DIVIDING ISRAEL’S LAND, especially Jerusalem. THIS WOULD BE A TITANIC MISTAKE!

Getting back to the TITANIC……there is another letter that bears the date of the Titanic disaster and it was written by a very brave President named Dwight Eisenhower. It was written on April 15, 1945 (the Titanic sank on April 15, 1912) to General George C. Marshall. Eisenhower was describing what he saw in the concentration camps after the war. Here is an excerpt:

“On a recent tour of the forward areas in First and Third Armies, I stopped momentarily at the salt mines to take a look at the German treasure.  There is a lot of it.  But the most interesting — although horrible — sight that I encountered during the trip was a visit to a German internment camp near Gotha. The things I saw beggar description.  While I was touring the camp, I encountered three men who had been inmates and by one ruse or another had made their escape.  I interviewed them through an interpreter. The visual evidence and the verbal testimony of starvation, cruelty and bestiality were so overpowering as to leave me a bit sick.  In one room, where they were piled up twenty or thirty naked men, killed by starvation, George Patton would not even enter.  He said he would get sick if he did so.  I made the visit deliberately, in order to be in position to give first-hand evidence of these things if ever, in the future, there develops the tendency to charge these allegations merely to propaganda.”

Eisenhower witnessed the carnage and atrocities of the camps and from that point forward he made it his mission to fully document the Holocaust. He brought in the media to cover it, and had film and pictures taken so that no one could ever deny it happened.

Eisenhower knew the United States needed to blow the trumpet and let the world know about the evil that had tried to destroy the Jewish people. Hitler’s regime was the iceberg trying to sink the entire planet.

The same is true of today. We must get the real facts and blow the trumpet. Take note of what’s happening in Israel and never forget the atrocities being committed by a regime that claims to want “peace.” 

1 Thessalonians 5:3 says, “For when they say peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” 

We cannot achieve peace and safety by negotiating with those who seek destruction. Pray for the safety and salvation of the Jewish people and for the restoration of their land. Also pray that Hamas would be punished for their crimes and that the Palestinian people would be freed from the bondage of a terrorist government. But above all, pray for the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who is the King of Kings who will rule from Jerusalem. He is the only one who will bring PEACE to the Jewish people and the world.
