One of my favorite vacation spots is the western United States. There’s something special about the out-of-this-world rock formations that dot the landscape in states like Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona.
Recently, I took a trip to one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been–Sedona, Arizona. Truly, your mouth just drops open when you view the massive, majestic rocks surrounded by the bluest skies in America. They almost seem unreal, but once you walk among them, you realize that God put those impressive structures there to remind you that He is the Almighty Creator who is worthy of praise! Hallelujah!
While I absolutely loved taking in the gorgeous scenery of Sedona, hiking the numerous trails, and eating the healthy, fresh food, I also realized there was a dark side to this place.
The Dark Side
I noticed this darkness right away. The moment my husband and I entered the city, we were bombarded by New Age shops and businesses. Everywhere I turned, I saw signs, banners or ads which said things like, “psychic readings,” “crystal magic,” “aura photos,” “meditation sessions,” or “raise your consciousness.”
When I say it was everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE. When I walked into my hotel, I was greeted with a wall full of brochures for everything from shamanic healing and Reiki massages to psychic coaching and hypnotherapy.
Sedona is also home to the Global Center for Christ Consciousness (No, they aren’t referring to Jesus), as well as the Center for the New Age and the University of Metaphysics. Each of these places offer trainings, retreats and workshops where people can learn how to connect with spiritual guides, or attain some form of “enlightenment.” (Actually, it’s more like en-darkenment!)
UFO Central
There was also a strong interest in aliens and extraterrestrials in Sedona. In fact, the area is known for all sorts of UFO sightings and has been designated an extraterrestrial hotspot. Conferences centering around contacting “aliens” and “cosmic families” (also known as star families) are held throughout the year. Psychic mediums teach people how to communicate with these supposed extraterrestrials (which are demonic) and even take people on hikes to find the best spots to “get a signal.”
I wondered what all the fascination with the New Age (occult) and “aliens” was in this particular area. I soon figured out it was because of Sedona’s seven vortexes.
WHAT’S A VORTEX?
Vortexes are areas of “enhanced energy” that are believed to “facilitate prayer, meditation, and mind/body healing,” while allowing one to explore the relationship between the soul and the divine. Many people hike to vortex sites, believing they will encounter a “universal life force energy” that will bring emotional healing, personal empowerment, or a deep connection to the spirit world. Others hope they will meet their “alien” guide. There is also a belief that some of these vortex sites have either masculine or feminine energy. Depending on which one you visit, you can obtain this energy and allow it to “empower” or “recharge” your soul. Some people claim their bodies are healed of past traumas after visiting Sedona’s vortexes.
My Vortex Experience
During my trip, I hiked to some of the popular vortex sites. I saw people meditating on rocks, striking yoga poses, and doing rituals I didn’t understand. Some had objects with them that they placed on the rock formations. I also saw quite a few people taking off their shoes when they stood in the vortex areas. I certainly wasn’t there to connect with a spirit, or obtain some sort of “energy,” so I prayed against any dark forces or entities that could be in that particular vortex. I also prayed for the people who were hoping to find healing from these spirits. I prayed that they would encounter the Truth, the Way and the Life–the Great Healer himself–JESUS. Psalm 91
When I was standing near some of these vortex zones, inwardly I felt the nudge to pray for protection over myself and my husband. As Christians, we must remember that there’s a spiritual realm and the enemy is looking for ways to attack us. Because I was in the midst of New Age central, no matter where we hiked, I prayed Psalm 91 beforehand and during the hike. It’s a good thing I did because something frightening occurred when I was climbing up to a rock formation known as Bell Rock….
It just happened to be Halloween and my husband and I were hiking what I would consider a difficult trail leading up to Bell Rock. Part of the trail getting to this rock formation involved intermediate level hiking, but much of the journey was climbing up the rocks. I thought it was challenging because some of them were slippery and steep. The closer we got to the top, the sketchier the path became as it was more difficult to find a crevice or notch to put your hands and feet into. If only my husband and I realized we took a more difficult path than the rest of the tourists! There was an easier path on the other side of the rock formation, but for some reason we climbed up a steep, slippery area that had us scrambling like crabs up a mountain. My husband was much better at scrambling than me.
As we neared the top, I tried not to look down, but it was hard to resist the urge. I realized that if I stumbled or fell, I would roll down those slick rocks into oblivion. Nevertheless, I kept going.
I almost made it to the top–ALMOST. But then I slipped.
Boy, was I scared! I screamed as my body started sliding down, down, down. But then my husband jumped into action. He threw his body on top of mine in an effort to keep me from sliding further. Unfortunately, he started sliding as well. I wondered if we were both going to tumble off the giant rocky surface.
But then all of a sudden, we both stopped sliding.
Everything was silent.
I breathed a sigh of relief as I realized the descent into oblivion had ceased!
It took a few minutes, but we were both able to crawl further up the rock and find a safe place to sit while we contemplated what had just happened. You can see me in the picture below sitting in my “safe spot.”
As I sat there in a relieved daze, I just happened to look down at my shirt. See picture below.
It had three feathers on it. It reminded me of Psalm 91:4 which says, “He will cover you with his FEATHERS and under His wings you will find refuge.” It’s interesting because I chose to wear that shirt at the last minute and I almost didn’t wear it. It was now covered with reddish sand, but it reminded me that Jesus was with me the whole time on that sketchy hike.
Interestingly enough, the spot where I almost fell was part of a vortex area. Was that a coincidence? Were “spirits” trying to knock me off Bell Rock? Perhaps Halloween wasn’t the best day to be hiking near these vortexes as well. I don’t know, but either way I’m glad that I prayed Psalm 91 before climbing it. Anytime you’re in an area where the occult thrives, it’s best to protect yourself with the armor of God, which includes praying God’s Word.
The Harmonic Convergence
After the incident, I decided to do a little research into the history of Bell Rock. I found out that in 1987 an international event called the Harmonic Convergence took place atop Bell Rock in Sedona, as thousands meditated and prayed for the arrival of a giant spaceship that would usher in a new age of peace and harmony. People around the world joined in by meditating in other locations as well. Supposedly the convergence of the prayers and synchronized humming would transform life on planet earth. The alien spaceship, however, didn’t show up to unify the souls of humanity–but that didn’t squelch the enthusiasm which still goes on to this day.
New Agers Need the Holy Spirit
As I contemplated the deception happening all around me in Sedona, I realized that the reason New Agers were so confused and seeking the wrong spirits was because they hadn’t encountered the true spirit of the Living God– THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Instead, they were participating in all of these occult practices, hoping to connect with any spirit that would make them feel powerful, peaceful, healed and whole. But they didn’t realize that Jesus Christ could give them more than what they were seeking! He could give them all those things, as well as eternal life with a restored, perfected body and soul. He could give them PEACE, otherwise known as SHALOM.
God’s Word is clear about staying away from psychics, mediums and communicating with “spirits,” and entities.
“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God, ...”
“If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people."
The Word of God clearly says that we shouldn’t consult psychics and mediums or try to contact spirits. God sets his face against anyone who does this. You can’t have fellowship with demons and God at the same time!
After finishing the hike that almost finished me at Bell Rock, my husband and I went to a restaurant. As I sat there at the table pondering the ideas I shared above, I saw a man nearby with a shirt that had writing in it. At first, I figured it must be some New Age saying or mantra. But when I took a closer look, I realized it was a verse.
The verse was Psalm 32:8, which declares, I will instruct you and teach you the way that you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
I was amazed because it confirmed what I was thinking. The New Agers in Sedona were seeking counsel, but it was from the wrong source. They needed Jesus to instruct them. The verse reveals that God’s loving eye is on those who are counseled by Him. Many New Agers believe their “third eye” has to be opened in order to receive instruction, but God is telling them that all they need is His counsel and His eye watching over them!
Believe me, New Agers need Jesus because the amount of deception taking place just in this one city was off the charts. I want to give you specific examples so you can fully understand the scope of the problem. Some of these things are happening in other cities as well, but Sedona is saturated with it.
By going to the Visitor Center, I was able to see that Sedona had lots of occult events happening all year long. A week before I arrived, there was an event at the Global Center for Christ Consciousness called Odyssey Sedona which featured psychics and channelers who teach people to connect with spirits and “aliens.”
One of these channelers, Lily Nova, claims to be a “Cosmic Mentor” who can help people connect with extraterrestrials.
Her website states,
“All Humans can make contact with their Star Families and spiritual guides. In this 6-week small group program, I’ll teach you the methods, protocols, and ascension guidelines to establish contact for yourself and raise your frequency to achieve your highest potential…Your Star family and guides may have been trying to reach you for a very long time. Discover your unique cosmic soul connections and learn how to connect with your cosmic family. You can transform your life, heal your energy and increase your love vibration through their connection and guidance just like I have.”
Other courses Lily offers include: Deep Chakra Healing with Inner Earth Beings, DNA Activation to Connect with Your Star Family and Third Eye Activation.
She is hosting an upcoming retreat on April 22-26, 2025 in Sedona called the Transformation Retreat and Vortex Tour. Here’s the description posted to her website.
“The focus of this magical event will be visiting sacred sites and potent energy vortexes in the Sedona area, which can help the attendees achieve transcendental experiences, profound spontaneous healings, powerful upgrades, and activations. Sedona also carries keys that can help unlock your DNA and propel your remembering / awakening journey.”
She adds that channeling activations will help unlock new levels to your spiritual ascension and there will be nightly sky watches to initiate contact with UFOs, Star Beings and Inner Earth Lemurians.
Sadly, what Lily and her followers are doing is connecting with demonic entities! They are doing all the things God forbids as they willingly participate in divination and witchcraft. Of course, those involved in these practices will say they are doing “good” things, not “witchcraft.” They truly believe they are trying to usher in planetary peace. But what they are actually doing is partnering with demonic forces that want to deceive and corrupt them.
Most New Agers are looking for a way to better themselves and the world, but they are going to the wrong sources. They desire a connection with “Mother Earth” and other worldly beings, but they deny the existence of the true Creator, Jesus Christ. Today’s Green Movement and Carbon Zero Agenda uses New Agers to promote their mantra that the earth is about to implode and the world must unite to stop it from happening. It becomes a climate religion of sorts where people worship the earth instead of God. Some New Agers believe “aliens” will help humanity in their quest to save the earth. But the Bible says that Jesus will save the planet–not MAN– and certainly not aliens! Lily Nova is just one of many who teach people how to connect with spirits, energies and aliens. By far, the large number of psychic mediums in Sedona was overwhelming, but keep in mind that psychics are everywhere. I live in Orlando, but I am just 40 minutes away from a community called Cassadaga, which is the home to hundreds of psychics and “healers.” Those who live there call themselves Spiritualists because the community was modeled after the Spiritualism movement of the 1800’s which descended from Theosophy.
It should be understood that Theosophy is a pseudo-religion where adherents worship Lucifer (Satan) because they believe he was a brave rebel who was only trying to bring knowledge to the world. They don’t see him as the Devil who is depicted in Christianity, but instead a “light-bringer.” If asked whether they follow the Devil (Satan), these psychics and healers will say absolutely not. Most believe they are doing good by helping people discover “hidden knowledge.” Their secret knowledge comes from spirits that they believe are there to help people on their path to healing or empowerment. They classify spirits as both good and bad, but they believe they can ward off the bad ones by cleansing with sage or other rituals. Sadly, most never realize that all these spirits are bad and are simply misleading both the psychic and the client.
Some people who visit psychics may not be interested in having their own spirit guide or contacting “aliens,” but many are willing to visit a psychic every now and then to get predictions about the future. Most people, however, visit psychics in the hopes of receiving messages from dead loved ones. If you are interested, this is the website of Jenn Nizza–it is called Ex-Psychic Saved. She shares her testimony and conducts interviews with those who have been involved in the occult world. She also has a You Tube Channel and a podcast called Ex-Psychic Saved: Exposing Divination, New Age and the Occult. She explains that when she was a psychic, she really thought she was helping people and it was out of compassion that she offered her services. Oftentimes her clients suffered from emotional pain resulting from the death of a loved one. She believed that she could help them find healing. She used methods such as automatic writing as she channeled spirits. Now she realizes she was communicating with familiar spirits, otherwise known as demons and/or fallen angels. These spirits would pose as dead loved ones and reveal information to her.
Some people came to her to find out who they would marry, what career they should choose, or when they would have a baby. She says this is a deception and keeps people from trusting God with their future. In essence, people came to her looking for fulfillment or closure, but instead they were getting half-truths from demons.
In her testimony she shares something very eye-opening about psychic mediumship. She says it is the counterfeit of prophecy. Psychic communication is secret knowledge given by demons who do not know all things and are not omnipresent or omniscient. Many mediums who are trying to “read” a person will say, “I feel like,” or ask leading questions trying to verify the right information. They may ask, “Did you have a grandmother that passed, or someone who was like a grandmother?” They could say, “I feel like you experienced a trauma…. Is this true?” This is because there is no certainty in what they are channeling from the spirits. They may be getting bits and pieces of truthful information, or a shadow of the truth.
In contrast, when God spoke his Word to the prophets in the Bible, there was no “maybe it’s this, maybe it’s that,” or “I feel this way or that.” Instead, God’s Word is always His declaration which does not change and is always true. There is no confusion when it comes to God– He always speaks truth. His report and His prophets are specific and 100% accurate all the time.
John Edward and other mediums (like the Long Island medium) often say they are tuning into energies because human beings are merely collections of this energy. They claim to pick up the “line of probability” for that person’s life.
What a lie!
Firstly, God made human beings in His image so they are not a collection of energy. Humans are fearfully and wonderfully made–knit together in the womb by God. New Agers believe all living things are energies and frequencies, whether it’s a bug, alligator, cat, snake or a human! Sounds a lot like evolution…. But God is an intelligent designer who fashions His creation with care and love and he desires that humans receive the Holy Spirit, not the spirits of demonic entities.
Psychic John Edward says his grandma and mother have been dead for decades, but if you come to one of his events, “you will hear them,” because he “keeps them very close.” This means he thinks they are manifesting and speaking to him!
Well Mr. Edward, you are not speaking to your mother and grandma! In fact, you are “keeping close” to demons, not dead loved ones. These spirits can manifest as dead loved ones because they have been around for ages. Certain spirits are connected to family lines so they do have some knowledge from the past. They can reveal this information to the psychic who then tells the client. This often “hooks” the client into believing it’s the actual dead loved one communicating through the medium.
The Bible tells us to test the spirits.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.”
The Bible also tells us that we must not try to contact the dead. Once a person dies, their spirit is in either heaven or Hell. That means any spirit posing as a dead loved one is a demon (or Nephilim spirit or fallen angel). Either way, it’s a spirit of deception.
“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.
“And when they say to you, ‘Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,’ should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead, on behalf of the living?”
Here are more verses to look at….
People should seek God instead of spirits and dead loved ones. God is the only one who will provide truth and healing.
All of this is very deceptive, but there’s also some of this happening with a twist of Christianity thrown in. Using the title of “Christ” and “Children of God” makes many people believe the New Age is “heavenly” when in fact it’s demonic.
In September 2024, a conference called The Daughters of Heaven will be held in Sedona. The name makes it sound like it will be a gathering that is “holy” and biblical.
Not quite.
The Center for Christ Consciousness says that the “Daughters of Heaven” are a unique, and final, facet of Lightworkers incarnating into the planet and are only NOW becoming aware of this role/title. They are embodiments of the Divine Mother, serving as midwives to assist in the birthing of the Christ within all beings. They are Children of God who have come to observe, feel, and make holy, the world around them. They tap into the energies of the unseen, and by choosing to ‘see’ at such a high level, they actually ignite a spark where there was once only darkness. And although Lightworkers are here to serve mankind, the Daughters of Heaven are here to serve God.”
It’s important to remember that “Lightworkers” is simply a New Age term that means “working with Lucifer.”
Who is Lucifer? Used as another name for Satan, he was one of heaven’s most beautiful angels who had direct access to God. But he became full of pride and fell out of God’s favor. Ezekiel 28:16-17 says that “he became filled with violence, and (he) sinned… (His) heart was lifted up because of (his) beauty.”
Lucifer’s pride led him to rebellion and he vowed to overthrow God. Because of this, he was cast out of heaven.
Lucifer’s name means “light” or “son of the morning” so New Agers claim that his rebellion wasn’t to deceive the world, but rather to enlighten it. Anytime people consult otherworldly spirits, they are delving into the realm of Lucifer and his “lightworkers” as they disguise themselves as “the good guys.” These spirits will claim to bring knowledge and empowerment to those who seek them, but this trick is as old as the Garden of Eden, where Satan appeared to Adam an Eve.
Genesis 3 says,
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made.
He said to the woman, ‘Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?’ 2 And the woman said to the serpent, ‘We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, 3 but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’ 4 But the serpent said to the woman, ‘You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’ 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.
Notice that the serpent (Lucifer/Satan) told Eve she could be like God. In other words, she would be “enlightened” with secret knowledge that only God possesses. This is what the New Age movement is all about. In Sedona, many people were there to gain some form of special knowledge that would bring them healing, energy, wisdom and psychic powers. They wanted to eat of the tree of good and evil, believing that Lucifer and his spirit guides (or extraterrestrials) are going to help them ascend to higher levels of consciousness. Unfortunately, Lucifer and his minions are dragging them down.
Getting back to the Daughters of Heaven conference, let’s see what else is stated about the event…
“This event is more than just a conference, it’s an activation and celebration into the remembrance of our role in God’s Divine Plan. It’s a multi-dimensional experience that features some of the finest musicians and performers in the world, holding space and supporting the attendees throughout the event. The format allows us to immerse ourselves into celebration, worship, and oneness. This event is introducing a brand-new topic and is presenting a brand-new way of experiencing such gatherings. In this sacred container, we are activating the blueprint of a new spiritual network that will henceforth keep us connected and supported as we journey through life and into our ascension.”
An entire book has been released about the “Daughters of Heaven” which propagates the lie that humans are an extension of the Divine Mother and once enlightened, can become spiritual midwives who will birth a new world. It also details a global shift that is coming which will be sparked by the “lightworkers.” (This “shift” has nothing to do with light, but rather it’s the Antichrist’s appearing and his “occultic” rule during the 7 Year Tribulation)
The wordy descriptions provided above are typical “New Age speak.” Key words you should pay attention to are “God’s Divine Plan,” “Divine Mother,” “oneness,” “spiritual network,” “ascension” and “global shift.”
ONENESS is the Antichrist’s Calling Card
The idea of “oneness” is big in the New Age world because it means becoming one with the universe, nature and even with spirits. You may think the Daughters of Heaven are just some fringe, kooky cult, but the truth is that this kind of thinking is everywhere right now.
For instance, the United Nations, World Health Organization, World Bank and pretty much every liberal global leader (including most U.S. Democrats and some Republicans) believe the entire world must unite together, becoming ONE. They think we must unite and fight climate change. We must unite to fight diseases. We must unite to promote abortion, the LGBTQ agenda and DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion). They believe everyone must follow the same laws and moral code, even though their moral code contains twisted, skewed ideas.
New Agers latch on to all of this because they too believe that the world must collectively become ONE through mind, body and spirit. They propagate the idea of ascension, which supposedly means you will rise to a higher level spiritually. This will allegedly make you a better human–a more peaceful human–a more divine human. Magically, (because New Age is a form of “witchcraft”) you will become a better person if you stop using fossil fuels, become a vegan, keep the cows from farting, and seek every spirit that can be channeled.
But New Agers don’t understand that all of this is what the Bible warns about as the coming great deception. This deception will force the entire world to accept a One World Leader and a One World Religion. Worst of all, the entire world will be forced to take ONE MARK– the Mark of the Beast. Likely those deceived will be told the ONE MARK TO RULE THEM ALL will bring enlightenment and “ascension” just like Satan told Eve in the garden. But this mark will damn a person’s soul to Hell as it will connect the person to the Antichrist permanently.
Yes, it seems unbelievable that people would accept such a crazy lie! But keep in mind that for decades the movie industry has been brainwashing the world to accept these New Age ideas. Just watch Netflix for a few hours and you’ll see the occult on steroids! You’ll also see aliens/extraterrestrials. You will see movies where the world is in apocalypse mode because of “climate change,” nuclear war, or manmade disasters.
Additionally, you can go in most stores and find products promoting the New Age for both children and adults. Whether it’s promoting karma, yoga, chakras, inward empowerment, or sustainability, most businesses are on board with the Green Agenda and Oneness with globalism.
The Global Center for Christ Consciousness advertises itself as “a spiritual center of love, peace and joy” with “sacred Sunday services” at 10 am. Additionally, their website says “God Is, I Am, We Are, Amen.”
They are saying that humans and God are ONE. But this isn’t true.
God is the Almighty Creator. Humans are sinners. The only way we have access to God is through His son Jesus. When we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior then we receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit becomes our counselor and guide, but we do not become just like God and we certainly aren’t God.
We will always be sinners while living on earth in our earthly bodies. It’s only when we are with Jesus in heaven and resurrected in glory that we will finally break free of the sins that are such a burden and be completely healed of all the trauma of a fallen world. But we can only receive this gift through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. This means that He is the only one we follow and seek. There can be no spirits, avatars, or “aliens” that we worship or pay homage to.
The Antichrist will one day say that he is God. He will tell others that they can be like God, or merge with him to be God. The New Age Movement is setting people up to believe this. His mark will allow humans to eternally bond with him. But this is a horrible thing that cannot be undone. Once you become ONE with the Antichrist, your soul is doomed to Hell.
Before closing out this blog I wanted to share one more strange New Age activity offered in Sedona. It’s called the Sedona Wolf Sanctuary. Sounds nice right? That’s what I thought until I read about it. This is the brochure I got in Sedona below…
The website greets you with this message:
Experience the Healing Power of Ancient Medicine Wheels and Wolf Magic
Then it says:
“For centuries, wolves have been revered as spirit animals, highly respected by native cultures, and even feared by many. When it comes to providing direct healing, creating a transformational shift, and tapping into your inner being, nothing comes close to the power of wolf medicine. As a uniquely spiritually-infused wolf sanctuary and non-profit organization that happens to be at a sacred ranch, we’ve helped countless numbers of people attracted from all over the world with our wolf encounter experiences and spiritual retreats.“
On the About Page
it explains:
“Everything that you see today at the Sedona Wolf Sanctuary once was the vision of Healingwolf, a local sha-woman who had an out-of-body experience at a young age that inspired her to create a place where wolves and people could truly find peace. Not only has her vision become a reality, but the sanctuary has succeeded beyond her wildest dreams and attracts people from all over the world who are eager to feel more connected to nature and their own inner beings. She believed, like the natives, that wolves are not just meant to be spirit animals, but rather that wolves are our greatest teachers – if we allow ourselves to open our eyes and see the lessons.”
To some people, this may sound wonderful. A wolf bringing you inner peace! A wolf creating a transformational shift inside you… What’s wrong with that?
The problem is that it’s a huge deception.
Many New Agers believe that everything in the universe is ONE. This idea is called MONISM. Thus, they believe the rocks, the trees, the animals, humans and God are all ONE. They believe our spirits are meant to be joined together. Furthermore, they hope that one day we will all be connected–kind of like a global brain! The belief is that the New Age Savior (Antichrist) will bring this vision of oneness and harmony into reality.
Many New Agers also believe in shamanism which teaches that humans can take on the energies of powerful animals such as the wolf. This supposedly allows the human to become stronger and empowered.
I don’t disagree that animals can bring some form of healing to our lives. Obviously, God created animals so we could see what an awesome, intelligent Creator he is. Animals also bring enjoyment, happiness and wonder into our lives. But we are not to view them as spiritual advisors or representatives of God. It’s important to remember that God is God and animals are animals. The Creator is separate from His Creation.
In the end, I could go on and on with examples of how the New Age movement is deceiving many people and how it will be part of the Last Days deception mentioned in the Bible. The truth is that people need Jesus now more than ever. The world is only going to get more and more demonic as time goes on. Many people will continue turning to the wrong spirits.
This is why we must LEAN INTO THE ROCK!
What do I mean by this?
Well, when I was in Sedona, I learned first-hand what it means!
After I almost fell off that huge rock formation, my husband told me, “No matter what you do, you must LEAN INTO THE ROCK.” He was talking about physical rocks of course. His point was that as a person climbs upward, they must lean their bodies slightly forward– toward the rock they are climbing. When climbing down, one should lean slightly backward into the rocks. Basically, one’s body should be angled in such a way that it leans into those rocks! This keeps the person’s body balanced and centered. Even if a hiker has a mis-step, their chances of falling are lessened when their body is leaning toward the rock.
That made me think of Jesus, who is called THE ROCK. No matter what we do–no matter what challenges we are facing–no matter what knowledge we are seeking–WE MUST LEAN ON THE ROCK! Sometimes life is going upward, but we must lean on Him. Sometimes things are going downward, but we must lean on Him. Sometimes we make a big mis-step, but we lean on Him. If we lean on ourselves or other sources, we will surely take a big fall. This fall can even lead to death.
So, no matter what, we must LEAN ON THE ROCK THAT IS JESUS CHRIST.
As this world gets darker, we can still press on toward the LIGHT of the WORLD, Jesus Christ. He is the only ONE who can enlighten our souls and restore our mind, body and spirit!
